Kalista Balance Ideas

Hey according to champion.gg KalistaKalista currently almost has a 51% win rate, I don't watch much pro play but in general when a champion like her becomes strong in non-comp play she is dominating in comp. I was just thinking of some ways to change her with more focus on pro play than normal queue.

  1. Make her E do less damage to monsters. I feel like this would work pretty well as my understanding is that one of her biggest strengths in pro play is her ability to secure objectives with the potential to out damage smite, with this change they could nerf one of her competitive strengths without damaging her for most people to badly.

  2. Assuming that that the above nerf isn't the only thing they change about her something that they could do to compensate for non pro players would be something like Cho'GathChogath ult where it tells when it will kill someone. This will make her easier to understand and play for people who haven't reached/ her skill cap, because in pro play I doubt that Kalistas in pro play often rend to early and have a basically perfect idea of how much damage their rend will do.

  3. This is probably the biggest change and it wouldn't even be to her directly but giving the option to make the target champions button a toggle allowing bad/worse Kalistas to kite easily using shift-click without risk of autoing minions which is something I used to do when I was learning her.

These are just some ideas and may be really flawed but either way some insight would be appreciated :)

EDIT: Changed a word

she is weirdly enough only a niche pick in pro i have no idea why, could be because of the power of ezreal and lucian making her somwhat obsolete, and the fact that tanks are very common over there meaning that her lower than average dps hurts her pick potential more there, also could be because of the support meta. Either way she is somehow not dominating proplay at the moment
