Rant About Ping Spamming

I think this is an issue that really needs to be addressed. Now, this involves the ping system that we use to communicate with our teams. Like most of us are aware, we have four pings that can be used (excluding the original pings). They are danger, on my way, assist me, and enemy missing. I think this is a great system, but I noticed something flawed with the enemy missing sign. Half of the time, it's not even used properly. Signaling that someone is missing should be when your lane opponent isn't in lane or when the enemies aren't where you expect them to be. Most of the time, I see it being used as a way to tell your team mates "what the fuck are you doing?", "why the hell are you over there?", "why aren't you helping me?". This has become a habit for a lot of league players, and this isn't the way it's supposed to be used. Look at the fucking text for the ping. There's a question mark that says ENEMIES are missing. It mentions NOTHING about your allies, so ping spamming your team mates with it is fucking pointless. Yet, people do this to as a way to rage at their team mates every fucking day. Constantly using the missing ping on your team mates is the equivalent of being toxic. As a jungle main, nothing tilts me more than a salty laner who gets solo killed and proceeds to ping spam me when I'm on the opposite side of the map. I don't give a fuck about flame because you can always mute. You can't avoid pings though because they're a vital part of the game. I think riot should add a report section for someone who is incorrectly or unnecessarily spamming pings. They can also add a new ping that says "ally is missing". I don't know; They're just some ideas off the top of my head. Thoughts on this?

you should learn to respect pings more and if they mean "why the fuck are you over there" or "get the fuck back quickly" you should simply follow it.

That's not the point. The problem is the enemies are missing ping doesn't mention any of that.

well there is no "GET THE FUCK BACK FROM YOUR TOTAL NOOB OVEREXTEND POSITION" ping so thats kinda what red/yellow pings mean. just respect that your teammates know shit you dont.

Yes, because when you're team mates ping spam you, it always means they're right and know what they're doing. Honestly, if you're not going to say anything productive regarding the issue, don't say it at all. I appreciate your opinion though.

  1. most of the time, they are. you dont need to die to find out they were right.

  2. you are welcome. i hope this helps you climb.

Yeah I'll definitely shoot for platinum next season. I think you've misunderstood though. I'm asking for ways to improve the ping system because the missing sign is not always used properly. I'm not complaining because someone tried to prevent me from dying by ping spamming me. ._.

well there should be 5 types of pings

  1. the regular ping that means "look here"

  2. the red ping that means GET THE FUCK OUT YOU FUCKING SCRUB WHY DO I EVEN HAVE TO PING THIS

  3. the pink ping that means THIS IS WARDED

  4. the blue HELP HELP YOU FUCKING NOOBS GOD COME HELP YOU TEAM ping

  5. and last but not least the yellow "enemy is missing" ping

right now the "careful" and "danger" ping essentially mean the same but its not clear what EXACTLY you want to tell an ally. CAREFUL? yeah i fucking AM careful. DANGER? thats my second name baby. it should simply say GET THE FUCK BACK YOU FUCKING NOOB so its clear.
