How should I improve at the game without grinding for hours a day?

My friend sent me dozens of hours of meta discussion videos but that seems like a waste of time. How should i look to improve at the game without watching hours and hours of meta discussions or grinding in-game for hundreds of hours. I understand that if you grind for long enough then you will eventually become competent at the game, but I am looking for practice strategies. Any advice?

Just practice. The meta is different at every MMR, as you increase in experience, you will increase in rank, and your meta will shift, and youll learn from it, and get better from it, and then your rank will keep going up. And so on and so forth. Bronze-Gold= Microplay>Macroplay. Plat-Diamond=Microplay=Macroplay. Everything higher = assumed top tier Microplay so,

New players play a drastically different game. Bad players play a drastically different game. Average players play a different game. Good players are playing a different game. Elite players are playing a different game.

Just play games and have fun, it comes naturally.

The only way to get better is time spent, practice practice practice. The in depth meta videos etc are there if you don't want to learn anything from in game experience.

Sounds like you don't want to do anything but be handed a slip that says your elo is challenger.

I am a new player and want to catch up to the skill level of players who have been playing for years. I don't want to be challenger xD.
