Basic Attacks Lack 'Counter Play'. Make them skill shots.

Veigar's Q turns into a skill shot because it lacks "Counter Play" being a Target-Click guaranteed damage skill.

Ryze's future rework is suspected to follow this trend, for at least 1 of his skills.

Destroying certainty is how Riot creates "Counter Play"

Most ADC's rely on basic attack damage, and AAs are target-click guaranteed damage.

Riot logic would dictate that Basic attacks become Skill Shots.

EDIT: For the Record, This is a post based in Sarcasm. I don't like the Veigar Changes, so i just won't play him, or play with others playing him. This Post is about the TREND riot is following, and predicting what it could lead to.

P.S. I know what 'Smite' is. Even with these fake changes, this game will not = smite. Different Perspective, Completely different Controls. The term you're looking for is "Hack 'n Slash".

I would make it so ranged auto attacks collide with the first target they pass through.

There is literally no counterplay to walking.

sO DUMB! Just skilless point and click mobility.

It needs to be a skill shot. I want each of my feet to be a skill shot.

You didn't go far enough. Ranged auto-attacks also need a warning particle. You know, for counterplay and clarity and strategic diversity and whatever other buzz words are floating around right now.

Yeah! Why should late game ADCs have point-n-click spells that deal 500 damage on a 0.5 seconds CD?

Thats way worse than late game old Veigar doing 600 damage every 5 seconds.

Trolling aside it really is obnoxious that riot pays all this lip service to "counterplay" and then is biased as hell towards mobile adcs which you can do jack shit against if you're at all kiteable. Fighters get anti kite items gutted and are constantly reworked because keeping a ranged champion in melee 1v1 is "anti counterplay" while adcs are specifically designed to faceroll you with a permanent ranged gap and no recourse Kalista Vayne Tristana and suddenly it's a "team game".

It would have to only be champions that get in the way. Really, minions are only about knee hight so most champions, even tristana, can shoot over them. Except for teemo.

Idea is interesting and it gives tanks a better use. Auto attacks now contact the first champion hit.

the difference between auto attacks and skills is that literally everyone uses auto attacks and there's no champ and build that can 1 shot you with an auto (that isn't also buffed by a skill). AA damage is low, but very consistent. Veigar's Q had the potential to literally 1 shot you (yeah, he'd have to spend 2 hours afk farming, but once he does...). If all skills were certain to hit, League would be the worst MOBA in history and involve no skill. If you think about it, Ez is completely unbalanced. if all his skills were targetable, he'd be able to kill anyone without fail. AP Ez already can, just watch some SivHD. The only reason no one complains about Ez's damage is that people miss more than half of the shots they take anyway. So yeah, making something a skillshot adds counterplay
