S rating on Supports (In this case, Bard)

Right, I never really go on a forum to rant about stuff, but I saw it neccesary this time.

I've litteraly had terrific bard games the last 2 days. All these games went terrific, landing double stun after double stun, clearing a lot of wards, securing most dragons, warding at key locations and in some of the games, decent kill participation. In two of the games my ADC even managed to get legendary and due to a great laning phase (This is not solely to my credit, since I'm only one out of 4 players).

Yet, in all these games, my grades have been nothing else but B+ and one of them got me an A.

So my conclusion is this, either everyone in my region is serious pro bard players, or the grading system is working in mysterious ways that are ilogical.

Honestly, I don't know how much better the game expects me to do, especially considered you're meant to play equally against your opponent since your MMR is about the same.

Sorry for that rant, but I found it neccesary, as the grading system seems completely broken, and I don't know how I'm supposed to achieve mastery rating 6 and/or 7 at this point.

Suggestions are always welcome!

Bard really hard to get an A on because he is designed to roam so in general you need 70%+ kill participation for S. I think this is definitely the most important factor for bard to get S. You have to be roaming basically from level 3 onwards and be supporting the entire map not just babysitting botlane.

He also has decent damage so while its not necessary to take kills, in general 3 kills per game average will significantly improve your chances of getting an S.

Finally you musnt die. Dieing is only acceptable for S ranks when total team deaths are high. Even if you KDA is awesome if you have died more than 3 times, you are unlikely to get S as top bard players just dont die, due to his safety through magical journey. In 1 game you have 7 deaths which is just too much.

If you are doing everything else you say you are, like warding and securing objectives you should be able to get an S.

I made a post yesteraday about similar topics. It felt like kills and CS, especially CS, weights super heavy for grading. I have gotten A on nearly perfect game with high KP and low cs, while the other sloppy game I got some decent CS because my ADC was afk for awhile and I KS quite a few times and it got me S.

It is rewarding supports for doing wrong.

I have to agree with the original poster. I just played a bard game with 6/1/26 (out of 50 kills total) and got A+ while the trynd was 14/8/22 S-. Not sure what RIOT is looking for from support, especially since this was ARAM, but it's very discouraging and makes mastery 6/7 pointless for support (in their role). Check out Aphromoo 's quest for getting mastery 7 on Thresh. I understand that the mastery rankings are based on other players playing the same champion in the same role, but it seems a LOT easier for every other lane to get S-/+ just by playing well themselves. Please fix this.

I somehow managed to get a level 6 mastery on Bard, though I have no hopes of a level 7 and don't feel I'm good enough on him yet to earn it, anyway. However, it really bothers me when I go 4/0/16 on support Bard and only get an A, while 2/4/12 Udyr gets an S, even with his terrible attitude (telling me I suck and to uninstall quickly before anyone else has to play with me). And I HATE how I'm literally required to steal kills whenever I can and then hurriedly try to get at least some farm after laning phase is over in order to eke out an S- on any support. How is that being a support? How is that fair to anyone?
