Ranked and Elo System

Recently, I have had a string of bad luck in ranked. This summer I was able to achieve Plat 4, with Plat 3 promos within my grasp. It was fine and dandy. My KDA was great, I would have at least 2/1 win ratio. But then I got struck with the AFK/Flaming/DC virus. almost every game, I had someone begin to either flame, AFK or DC on me. Now. I am not complaining about how their wifi or computer may have been terrible or they might of had a bad day and made my game suck etc. No. I am here to address this fact: that in the process of having consistent Flamers/AFKers/DC's I began to lose matches to the point were i was put at the bottom of Plat 5. with 0 lp. Because of the constant losses, my MMR placed me in Gold 5 elo. I took a break thinking I am on serious tilt here. And recently since College started back up, now only play during times that High School and Middle school classes are in. (that's a hint to whom I think the Flamers/DC's/AFK's are). Anyways, I have carried quite a few games in a row and gotten right up to my plat 4 promos again... but its taken 8 games earning only 10 lp a match. And what I am not understanding is how the game still considers me at the level of Gold 5. So my suggestion. And even though it sucks for some, it is a proper change, let me fall back to Gold 5. That way my elo or ranking will show what "i'm technically playing as" so that when I do create a win streak, with consistently more then average KDA the game goes "oh hey, let's give this guy 20 lp instead of 10". This is kinda a vent/complaint on how the system is placing me. Because when I get plat 4 (and you bet your butt I am very soon) I don't want it to still consider me in the elo of gold and place me with that elo.

TL;DR MMR tends to place you in Elo's that you don't belong in and have a hard time to bring you back to where you should be after it's dropped you.
