Mark of the Kindred + Runaan's Hurricane interactions?

Is the extra damage from Mark of The Kindred applied with the extra bolts fired from Runaan's Hurricane? Available data for the item's profile page suggests that the extra bolts apply the passive from Blade of The Ruined King, but there are no listings for how Kindred's passive applies to it. Can anybody confirm whether there is an interaction? And if so, wouldn't Runaan's Hurricane by as basic a staple for her as BoRK is?

Her passive is an on-hit. Hurricane does apply the %hp dmg from it. From what I've seen, most guides list hurricane as a staple item, but it is not as core as BotRK.
