Holly sht this champion horrifies me ! xd

Hello guys,

Im having trouble laning vs a decent/good Thresh player in my games, as a support. Besides general advice - punish him after he misses his abilities, I would like to hear what can I do/ pick to lower his preassure in bot lane?

So the situation goes like this almost every single time, Im carefull of lvl 2, ignite and dont go too close to flay range, but somewhere arround 4-5 level someone gets hooked and the snowball starts, at this point ( after someone of us died ) the lane is over, Thresh buys moby boots and zones both of us from farm till we are so behind that they can free dive us under tower.

I want to win lane vs him and have a champion that I can confidently pick into him but Im unsure what can do that job since my champ pool is mostly enchanters like Lulu, Janna, Nami etc.

My elo currenty is arround plat 1- dia 4, and if someone can share some wisdom with me It would be nice. :)

Thanks

Thresh is relatively not tanky early on. he has no sustain and a super low base armor, making him super weak against poke. Problem is if you poke too much, you will end up hooked. You need to practice your best, have random movements so that he can't hook you 100% of the time, and also gank him early. He has no escape if you focus him especially (however don't focus the adc as he will get saved pretty certainly) Thresh never really falls down in the game though, a hook can always carry a fight by itself. However you can be more useful than him by playing enchanters as you can't really miss your supportive spells, while he "only" has his hook. :)

i'm not plat but I find thresh freelo when I play support as a zyra main. You can block every hook with plants if you learn the timing. Its easier to block for yourself than your adc but if youre close together its extremely easy. My favorite way to do it is to wait until you see thresh in a spot where he wants to hook and the instant you see him start the animation, spawn a plant right in front of him. You can also throw a seeed right in front of yourself or ADC and then throw an ability that way as well as a more reactive use of it. It could be bas Threshs in my ELO but i cant remember the last time ive lost to one.
