On the subject of turrets

Now a lot of people are not happy with the preseason changes to the turrets making them much easier to take down in the early game which causes games to go more quickly in most situations. For the most part it is not the fact that they go down too quickly but rather the fact that they don't do any damage post level 6 and even before that sometimes. If someone gets a decent amount ahead in lane then you can't even go back without getting tower dived at full health because the turret will barely do anything. I'm fine with having to play safe and farm under turret but when that becomes impossible it gets really frustrating and makes me not even want to play anymore. Sorry for ranting but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

I am having a hard time of turret dives being possible pre-6. Before this season, pre-6 turret dive (for most champs, at least) was almost a guaranteed suicide. Now, you can solo turret dive pre-6 and survive. I hate that.

Yesterday I had to suffer the most telegraphed tower dive in history from a Lux and Ashe. I was on red side and still had outer turret up but after lots of poke and both ults they killed support, took a few puny tower shots and walked out through red jungle like they were on a tour with over half health.

I made a post just the other day about how pathetic turrets are but it isn't LCS big plays so it just gets ignored in favour of "nerf xin" and other stuff. For such a key component in the game they sure are useless. League is, after all, basically tower defense.

Yeah, I was actually really surprised. I only play either really mobile or really tanky champs, so either I only take one shot or I get a lot of resists, so I never noticed it.

Then I played Wu top against a Malphite, hit 4, and dove him. He had about 1/3 HP and his passive shield, and had started cloth armor and slowed my attack speed and move speed with the proper skills.

I almost died, but shit, 3 tower shots should definitely have killed me at level 4, especially since he got his Q, E, and a W empowered auto off on me. I had no defensive stats other than some paltry armor runes and the fairly weak passive. I didn't even have MR runes because I took CDR, and didn't have any potions ticking, either. Hell, the entire time he had half a wave focusing me, too, and I still had enough time to push the wave in and let it reset before backing.

turrets this season give way too much gold for how easy they are to kill and Riot just keeps adding more and more stuff in the game to destroy them for whatever reason. I have yet to see them add something that actually helps turrets. Riot needs to either buff turrets, reduce how much gold they give, introduce an item that affects turrets in a positive way or a combination of those things.

For a game that is focused on protecting turrets there isn't much in the way of protecting them but there sure are like a million things that you can use to destroy them

50% of my losses in lanes have been the result of bullshit turrets. The biggest problem is that they made all of the stupid changes season 5 that helped people push turrets that didn't need it (trist) which resulted in an extremely boring worlds...like i had to shut it off when i saw people taking turrets at 3 mins. then with the preseason, they buffed the shit out of ad characters and items, AND nerfed turrets. Turrets should just do % max health physical so tanks can still resist them if they build tonnes of armour, but adc with base armour should die in a few shots.

i have watched 70 armour or less adc walk under turret, kill somone, and then tank the turret down by themselves no minions. we are talking 8+ turret shots on 70-80 armour not killing them. squishies should die in 4 shots max.
