Jayce Buffs
As someone who appreciates awesome character design, it sucks to see what has happened to Jayce. I havent been a player very long and could be better at the game, but I think Jayce has the potential to be way better than he is now. I'll jump right into what needs to be fixed :
Old Hammer Form W Lightning Field
Lightning Field is a cool looking ability but its very weak. But I feel the attribute fits right into what you wanted jayce to be. So keeping with the theme :
New Hammer Form W Lightning Charge
With this ability toggled on, Jayce would get bonus movement speed and his next few auto attacks would do bonus magic damage. It would last the same amount of time that Lightning Field lasts now.
Also this ability has three other powers as well. The first one would be a dash ; Jayce can dash a small distance in any direction with Hammer W turned on. The range would be from 100-250. I can already visualize the animations, which would tie into the Jayce's aesthetic.
If Jayce uses his Hammer Q or E while this is active, they do bonus magic damage. The Lightning Charge effects can be combined with the Hypercharge if switching from Canon Form to Hammer Form, but only the bonus movement speed and bonus AutoAttack magic damage carries over from this ability to Cannon Form. I will discuss the other power Lighting Charge offers when I get to Jayce's R
Cannon Form W Hypercharge
This ability would be a toggle as well that lasts as long as Hyper charge does now. Instead of Jayce gaining his three AA's with max attack speed an bonus, Jayce would get increased attack speed while gaining some new abilities when Hypercharge is on.
-Hypercharged Shockblast
If shockblast is used while Hyper charge is active, it passes through enemy units until it reaches max range. If used with his E+Q combo it has the same effect with the increased range.
Also Hypercharge would transform Jayce's Q to a special ability with its not cooldown being tied into W. What this means is, after Jayce uses a Hypercharged Q or E/Q, Jayce could immediately fire another normal Q. The E would be on cooldown so Jayce cannot use to accelerated shock blasts back to back . He can use a Hyperchared Accelerated Shockblast and then use a regular Shockblast back to back.
ALSO , if Jayce toggles on Hypercharge and switches to Hammer Fhorm, he gains new abilities for the duration of the toggle. Jayce's Hypercharge steroid can only carry over to be used on one Hammer Form ability
-Hypercharged Accel Scope Cannon Form E A detached Accel Scope grants even more bonus movement speed
-Hypercharged To The Skies Hammer Form Q
Jayce Hammer Form Q gains buffs which allows him to smack the ground around him in any direction which causes a foward moving sonic shockwave and is a knockup . If Jayce uses To The Skies on a chanp or minion, they are temporarily stunned if hit and are the main target. Also, when using Hypercharged To The Skies on a targeted champ or minion, a small circular AoE shockwave is emitted from where Jayce lands. Anything touched by the small AoE shockwave would be knocked up. The main target of To The Skies would be slowed after the stun as they would be if it was a regular To The Skies Hammer Form Q. Jayce's Lightning Charge can be activated for bonus damage. Jayce can only use one Hypercharged Hammer Form Ability
-Hypercharged Thundering Blow Hammer Form E
With the Hypercharge in effect, Jayce's Hammer Form E would have extra knockback power. It would send them back a bit further than normal. Also, a slow would be effect on the target for a small duration. Jayce's Lightning Charge can be activated for bonus damage. Jayce can only use one Hypercharged Hammer Form ability (Q or E).
-Hypercharged Hammer Form Auto Attack If Jayce switches out of Cannon form with Hypercharge and decides to AutoAttack, Jayce retains the increased Attack Speed for the duration of the Hypercharge. If Jayce decides to engage with Auto Attacks, he has the option to use a Hypercharged Hammer Form ability . Jayce's Lightning Charge can be combined with Hypercharge Hammer Form Auto Attacks for bonus damages

Old Cannon Form E Acceleration Gate
Jayce's old cannon E+Q ability is the crux of most of his power. But it doesn't do much in terms of his overall performance. What I mean is, in cannon form now it is symbolically 1/3 of his power. In actuality , the EQ cannon is Jayce's strongest move but it is the cooldown which keeps it from having a very strong game presence. This leads to Jayce players who wait patiently to keep using it as much as possible or it leads to those who use all thier cannon form abilities(AA, Q, W) . With the inclusion of the Hypercharged Q or EQ, the accelerated shockblast would have an increased presence in all levels of the game. The main reason I propose a change to his Cannon Form E is aesthetics. , New Cannon Form E Acceleration Scope or Accel Scope
The main difference between this idea and the old idea is shape, as the name suggests. The EQ combo is always thought of as a sniping ability as it is a skillshot . In lane , in duels, and sometimes even teamfights the gate can be tricky to use. The scope works in a similar way but with slight differences.
The Accel Scope pops out from Jayce's cannon in the direction his cannon is aimed. Whereas the Gate has a deployable range, the Scope would only be deployable in front of Jayce. Jayce can move around with the scope or detach it and fire his Q through it for that extra damage and range. If Jayce detach s it and runs through it, he gains that bonus movement speed he would get from the Accel Gate. Allied champions can also get bonus movement speed by running through a detached Accel Scope or Hypercharged Scope. A scope would fit in with Jayce's character and ability design while the detachability would allow for the same amount of utility Jayce offers now albeit in a limited form due to the shape and size difference. Accel Scope allows for new plays. The only thing that will be missing is the surprise factor from the old QE cannon .
Old JAYCE HEXTECH CAPICITOR R
Jayce's ultimate is wildly considered to be his ability to switch from melee to range. I disagree; Jayce has an actual ult in his first cannon and melee auto attacks. Everytime Jayce transforms he gets a bonus magic damage in Hammer Mode and enemy armor and magic resist shred in Cannon Mode. I am purposely ignoring the defensive stat buffs to focus on the AA buffs
New Jayce Hextech Capacitor R
Instead of having six points in each ability except R, changing the R back to leveling up will have the following effects.
In Hammer and Cannon Form, each time Jayce puts a point in his R he gets a Hextect Capacitor stack. So he would have four total Hextech Capacitor stacks at level 18 , and he would start out with one stack at the very beginning. Also, the additional three stacks get cooldowns/charge-up times after being used, but Jayce would always have one stack up everytime he transforms.

The Hammer Form buff(s) still deals the extra magic damage and can be triggered by AA's or Abilities. If Lightning Charge is active while a Hextech Capacitor buff is up , the bonus magic damage is converted to true damage.
In Cannon Form , Hextech Capacitor stacks have the effect of doing bonus AD and ignoring 10% percent of armor instead of reducing armor and magic resist for a short amount of time. If Hypercharge is on, the Hextech buff(s) apply to the increased attack speed auto attacks. One stack can be discharged with Q or the EQ combo . If Lightning Charge is active when switching over to Cannon Mode, the Hextech Capacitor buffs do true damage instead of the bonus AD as well as the bonus 10% armor penetration.
In addition, the Hextech Capacitor stacks cannot be discharged until used on an enemy unit. Also , Jayce retains the movement speed buffs from the old R when switching stances.
I believe I covered everything here and am on to something amazing . The reason I wrote all this is because I want cool characters to be acknowledged and to remain viable as long as they can.
