It's honestly ridiculous the amount of overpowered champions in the game currently. Not once have I ever heard of anybody complementing riots balance team. Every streamer that I've seen go through the patch notes states that they are disappointed. (Tyler1, LS, etc) Nobody is happy with the current state of balance.
Yeah, hire the people who will have even less of a clue about game balance. You can be #1 ranked in every server and still have no clue how to balance the game. Rank does not equate "I can balance the game'
Being good at the game doesn't mean you'll be good at balancing it.
Even Faker would probably not have a clue on how to balance.
It's like a race car. There's someone who drives it to get trophies (aka the player) and there's someone who repairs the car's engine, wheels, etc (aka balance team).
The balance may be questionable, but wanting a balance team from actual players is a very bad idea. I mean imagine, the balance in your control...you can buff and nerf whatever you like and hate and say "fuck you" to the rest of the playerbase. In other words? The game will be a giant train wreck.
They only cares about proplay now.

i don't think a new balance team would solve it because they're filtering out all china related posts even when it's not even offensive. game is currently more suited for china. tencent ruined it.
