LP Gain and Loss - What it depends on

Hello everyone.

I played my placements, went 6-4 and got placed in Bronze I. In this case, my WR is 60%. That's clear. After that I played one game and lost. Post game screen I noticed that I lost just 9 lp for this. Went to op gg, checked and saw that all of my teammates were Silver - from I to IV. While opponent team had 2 Silvers and 3 unrankeds. I knew that LP gain and lost is based on MMR. With this logic, it seems I lost 9 lp because of my WR, but I have seen too many players who loses more LP with higher WR. In the other hand, is it because I am in Bronze and Rito makes this to ease the climbing for low elo players? (well, after seeing huge LP lose and mini Lp gain in diamond, I think the second is more logical, but still idk.)

So please explain me this system if you have a clue or knowledge about it.

P.S: I was on 4 games win streak too.

Your LP loss and gains are determined by your MMR in correlation with the match's MMR and your league's avg MMR. So, for example, if you have silver MMR and are matched with silver players while you are on Bronze division yourself, your gains will be higher and your losses lower while this persists. It will stop when either A) you get to higher divisions OR B) you lose enough for your MMR to match Bronze (your division's) avg MMR.

It is because your MMR is much higher than the average bronze 1 . It's also why you were matched with silver players.

You get matched based on MMR and your rank adjusts gradually to true up.
