nasal is broken

Let's start with Nasus Q. The concept of being able to increase your power infinitely is completely broken on a tank. On veigar, you can take him down just as quickly as he can take u down. Nasus on the other hand, can just 2-3 shot u while u can't even come close to damaging him. Even if u run full armor/mag pen his passive is busted so all the damage you do to him doesn't even matter. He can have 38% life steal at lvl 1 if he runs warlords and a dorans. He also has a slow that makes you nearly immobile for a solid 2-3 seconds. Oh yea. His ult. Instantly gain a shit load of health and passive AOE dmg to become unstoppable. I don't play nasus so I'm not sure but I think he drains your attack damage with his ult too. The only balanced ability he has is his E. He doesn't need nerfs, he needs a complete freakin rework taking out his infinitely scaling damage and 15% life steal passive completely while simply tweaking his op slow and 3-in-one ult.

Nasus is a fighter, not a tank.

A tank's job is to initiate team fights and lock down priority targets. A fighter's job is to kill things.

I feel most of your post is struggling with this difference and the existence of tanky DPS.

In LoL: champions can utilize a wide range of mechanics to survive as long as defense allows. range and mobility are the biggest 2 alternatives. Champions like Zed and Lux don't just have range and speed added to there kits as flavor bonuses, the game treats those as very real and very powerful assets: which is why Nasus does as much damage as both (rather than trading tankyness for damage, mobility, and range).

For infinite scaling:

For infinite scaling to break a game, it requires the majority of the alternatives to stop scaling.

LoL lasts on average ~33 minutes and sees ~11,000 gold per player per game, or around 3 major 3k items, 1k in boots, and 1k in the bank when someone's Nexus explodes. Ending the game at level 1517 isn't exactly uncommon either.

Basically: it's extremely unlikely anyone is going to hit a scaling wall, so it's extremely difficult for infinite scaling to be game-breaking in LoL.
