How many devices on the internet connection?

There's literally a thousand different things that can cause ping to increase, so it's hard to tell off the bat.

How's your ping to other websites/services? Is it constantly good, or do those spike as well?

two computers, and 3 phones

lol all of those are spilting the bandwith meaning the speed is divided among the devices if one of them is streaming something like net flix. a video game online it is gonna hog majority of it... and if you try to log on as well you are getting short end of stick

well there may be alot of devices on the wifi for one... phones, tablets , cable box, satelite box, comptures, game systems ect they all will split the bandwith

are people streaming netflix? etc

maybe you just have to spend the holiday with fam instead of on league

try finding an ether net cable and hardwiring your laptop to see if it goes away

He mentions that his brother has normal ping, so assuming they're both using the same provider and router, that may not be the case.

Sounds like wifi to me. Wired lines only for gaming.

Check the drivers for your nic card/wireless card and graphics card. Also check to make sure you're not downloading updates in the background like Windows 10 loves to do. It's not a game issue unless you have max settings on a dell laptop and even then your MS shouldn't be effected all that much, just FPS.

I have been getting 4000-7000+MS and constant disconnects this entire weekend! I have a perfect connection to the internet (128MBS) that has not disconnected even once, no problems with any other game or doing anything else (just League of Legends), there are not other things running on my wifi while attempting to play, I have ran the Hextech Repair Tool, cleared all cache/history/etc, ran defrag/disc cleanup, and everything that can be done possibly on my end. One thing I have noticed is that if you EVER complain to customer service or support it is NEVER Riot's fault (that is of course after getting continuous bot messages that you have to respond to before talking to an actual person). Soooo guess I will be taking all that money I spent here and find somewhere else to spend it.
