As you can see the ward destroys the mushroom after the ward timer expires.

everything in this game was originally coded as minions ( yes everything, even your spells were minions with a skin overlay ) as a result, things like this can happen if the code goes unchecked... as a teemo player i personally love this idea because it gives teams the most random way to counter shrooms that no one had before... the chances of this actually happening are slim... real slim

I think I can explain: Wards have a "death animation" which is shown to both teams. This death animation could essentially turn the ward into a neutral monster for the brief time before it dies out (in between 1 and 0 seconds) thus destroying the Shroom underneath it. The shroom actually exploding instead of just dying out makes me think this is the case

Just a thought though.

Ward "corpses" coded as minions. GG rito, you did it again. [zombie-brand-clap]

I also fount that you can set of teemo shrooms instantly with the blue trinket

That's actually really funny.

I've had this happen before, but I don't think that the ward animation itself causes the mushroom to trigger. I'm not entirely sure, but I think that the new ward "rubble," is what sets them off. On more than one occasion I've put shrooms down only to have them burst immediately, finding rubble around the area the shroom was. I could just be extremely unlucky and I've put them down just as the ward expires, but I'm more inclined to think that the new feature has the leftover minion code in it rather than the animation that's been around for a while, especially since it's being noticed more now than prior to the 5.22 update. I haven't tested it thoroughly myself, so I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me if I am.

Neat. I never knew I could do that. Next time I'm against a teemo I'll try to abuse this.

Awesome bug, interesting to note of this.

Yes! This happened in a game earlier today and I had NO idea what in the world was going on; there were no enemies anywhere near.

Its the rubble, when the ward expires creates rubble, but Im not sure if it was meant to do this. Nidalee traps also are activated if a ward expires on top of them.
