Could this be a way to bring Azir up in popularity and use?
Hello everyone, I'd like to bring up a topic discussing the new abilities of turrets in the the day and age of preseason 5 in League of Legends. In this patch , the outer turrets, they remain the same, The inner turrets, they give a shield to allies within a certain radius while the turret also has the shield, and the Inhibitor turrets are given a beam attack rather the normal turret blasting attack. This beam is a constant stream of damage increasing in damage and armor pen over approx 6 seconds until the max of 260%.
Now you may ask, why am I bringing this up? The reason is, some see Azir's passive not too useful, or strong enough, or just not too good at all. This is a way to fix it (possibly) What if we were to give Azir's passive turret the ability of the turret's remains or location it was casted upon? ex: Cast Azir's passive on an inner turret, the turret and allies near it have a small shield ex: Cast it on the inhibitor turret, it has a beam-type attack.
Personally, I think this wouldn't be half bad of an idea and add even MORE choices towards strategic placement with his passive.
Maybe to balance things out say, make the shield half, and the beam do 130% damage, (half of each, basically)
What do you guys think? I am really interested on this concept and I would love some feedback.
Keep in consideration, his passive is quite weak since it decays over time even WHILE it takes damage from the opposing team, therefore making it an easy target for gold. In my opinion, this makes the passive more useful for YOUR team, rather for the ENEMY team.
