The MMR, how?

Can someone please explain how the match-making system works to me? Because I have gone from Silver 3 to Bronze 4 in the last month getting paired with teams that always lose, even if I have an excellent KDA and work for the team, and I am honestly on the verge of quitting this game. It's not fair to put a lot of work into your account to have it all sapped away in less than a month, and there has to be some sort of logic behind it.

You have to play the statistics & get it into your favour as much as possible... http://forums.euw.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=859779 Statistically, I have found that, for best chances of winning, I need a team-composition with the following :

  • One mage with good/strong wave-clear (minimum of one team-member who can wave-clear quickly from a safe distance)
  • Existence of anywhere from 2-4 tanks on your own team
  • A minimum of two or three of your team-members have some form of HARD CC
  • Your team needs to be able to have a combined ability to dish out damages

With enough experience you get an idea of how skilled your own team is likely to be right at champion-selection. Besides that, the main things that seem to win are leading the team with the right calls/pings at the right time, treating everybody else in a similar manner to how you would control A.I. through pinging (act like they're your own chess-pieces & try to get them to move where you need them to be & when in order to keep them from feeding).

Also... always queue-dodge any time the enemy team has a Diana

KDA is meaningless. People should really stop pointing to their KDA as evidence of them not sucking at the game.

I guess you have two problems:

  1. tough luck. Shit happens.
  2. you don't snowball your leads enough. In low elo, being fed should be enough to kinda shit on everybody, even if your teammates suck dicks. About that I'm afraid I don't have a lot of things to suggest, like... watch guides, streams, pro games and try to think of everything they're doing, even the simplest ones and understand why they do this and that. Understanding how the waves of minions work to be able to deny the maximum possible creeps/ when to push out, freeze etc. is excellent knowledge if you wanna get better.

Oh, and an advice.. Please do not care about counterpicks below plat+. You have no need for it whatsoever. Play the champions you enjoy and get better on those. If you are getting good with a champion, you will know every matchup, how you should act, you will have better mechanics on these champs, you know how to trade, to farm, etc. optimally.

because you have to know how to carry its not like ranked 5's where its actually a team game because solo que to an extent is not a team game. That being said players like me could go into those elo's and win a majority of the games no matter how bad the team because we understand the game and how to get ahead and how to carry with the lead. Just accept you suck, get better, and you will start to climb .

it sounds like you got a bit lucky on where you got placed and you actually are going down from your playing. I wouldn't be able to do what you did unless I was feeding every game if I was in your position, or just played at the level of bronze 5 basically.

I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, but no one drops a tier unless their playing is that low, and it can be from tilt or was like that all along.

Had a 8 loss streak recently...A few games after I promoted. Those 8 losses almost demoted me twice. I stopped the streak at 0 LP. At least 6 of those games were cause we had a derp or a tilted fool that threw. I got a smurf in that 0 LP game which pretty much sealed me off of demotion, then I just worked my way back up to the same division I was originally in (+1 basically), and currently sitting.
