Just wondering how placements ACTUALLY work, because I went 8W-2L and got Bronze 1 when last season I ended Silver 4... Not trying to be whiny, just a little distraught that I won 8/10 of my placements and got so poorly placed...

I ended bronze 2 last season, went 7/3 and got bumped up to silver 5, so who knows what the fuck placements deal is.

Yeah, I had a similar experience just last night. Finished my placements 9-1, was Silver 4 at the end of last season and got placed in Bronze 1 for this season.... From looking at my competition, I was mostly against Bronze 1-Silver 2 level opponents in games... I think Riot was just trolling me for April Fools.

It gets even more strange when you look at placements in the previous two seasons. Last season, 4-6 in placements and put in Silver 4. 2 seasons ago, 7-3 in placements and put in Bronze 4.

2 seasons ago, I went 9-1 and got placed in Bronze 5. Whenever placements come around, I just feel like quitting because this game ****ing hates me

They bumped the LP clamping from all leagues to only Plat. This caused players to place about a division or two down from last season as the MMR had to be readjusted; However, since the clamping has been removed, it will be easier to climb.

I was Silver V got 5/5 and now Broze V when last season I got 6/4 and went from silver 3 to silver V

I was gold 4 in the middle of last season, but I made the decision to not try very hard when someone starts scapegoating or being negative, and dropped to mid silver... I'm right there with you in Bronze 1, lol. Maybe goofing off in preseason dropped MMR down, and "placements" are simply conversion of MMR into rank.

P.S. I'm fairly certain, the Riot actually just puts the players that they'd rather not have play League of Legends anymore into Bronze league... Like if you've ever badmouthed them, into Bronze you go. Because, really, Riot has so many players, they would rather we didn't play this game, so they make it as terrible and toxic experience as possible.

I was in Silver 3. I won 7 games and lost 3. And now I'm Bronze 5. Thank you, placements. I just got out of Bronze and you ****ed me over again.

same story. Ended Gold 4, won 9-1. Performed extremely well, yet where do I end up, BRONZE 1.

Went 7-3, last rank was Silver IV, got placed Bronze II.... I have a friend who was ranked Gold something, played his placements in high gold low plat elo, went 9-1 and got placed in silver III..... This is ridiculous, now I have to battle out of bronze hell..... Have lost 4 out of my 5 games since placements due to feeders, trolls, and afkers, and honestly just horrible players......
