Riot could you please bring back auto lock in champion select, its annoying how ppl lose lp because of that. before this patch if you clicked on a champion while thinking of the right one to play itd auto lock it if u ran out of time, now it kicks you out, get a timer, lose lp, etc etc..
Alakalzam3 votesIt's especially dumb since there's no reason whatsoever why locking should be necessary. There's already an AFK check in the system when it asks you whether you'd like to join a game and you have to click the checkmark.
In five years of playing league intermittently, I can only recall one occasion where someone selected a champ, didn't lock it in, and then said, "Whoops...I didn't want this champ".

fuzzybunny001 votesAuto lock is standard in every other mode except ranked. And locking in usurps your extra time when you are speaking with your team. Either make auto lock not work at all, or make it work all the time. This current situation only hurts people. Literally ONLY.

I was actually taught by my friends who have played for a while and they told me to never auto lock in because you have idiots who switch shit up and you're left with a retarded match comp. So, you don't auto lock so you can switch your champ based on the intelligence of your team. ESPECIALLY IN BLIND PICK. So, because of that I keep forgetting to auto lock, even tho the new champ select is awesome. Pretty much am able to play who I want, when i want. However, I forget to autolock and because of this I have accidentally dodged games a few times.
