Spectation Bans

This is something that's been going on for as long as I can remember - which isn't saying much.

When I'm having a 'lazy day' and don't want to play, I want to watch a game. If no one on my friends list is playing a game, I go to custom games and try to spectate. But it's like clockwork. A spectator joins, gets banned. Rinse and repeat. I've been banned from 20 custom matches in a row for no reason; other than they don't want spectators.

If that's the case, why don't people change the option to not allow spectators? Obviously the answer is the creators are too lazy to change this option.

Another part of me wonders if maybe the 'default' option should be 'no spectators'.

I'm just getting frustrated by this. I learn from watching others, and I don't want to watch pros all the time.
