Game Event

So I've been thinking about the Lore and gameplay in League of Legends and I've been thinking to myself for a while. If Summoners are here to Summon Champions onto the Rift in order to settle wars with the least amount of bloodshed then why are the Summoners often Summoning and fighting off Champions from the same regions? e.g. Garen Vs Lux.

I'm come to think of an in-game event that could help us find out which of these regions are holding the most power in the universe of League of Legends. I don't have it all 100% figured out and I don't have a title for the event but I'll leave that to Rioters and more creative minds. My idea is fairly simple over all.

When 5 Summoners are selected in match making on Summoners Rift they are allocated a region at random I.e. Demacia, Shurima, Noxian, Piltover etc. Those summoners are then limited to play with a champion from that region to fight against a champion pool of another region. When that team wins then it's 1 victory point on the power scale for that region. The region at the end of the event with the most points then wins and could potentially be awarded with Unique Legacy skins to celebrate their worth on the Rift.

This in turn could open wide possibility for other variations such a knock out series e.g. End of week 1 the lowest scoring region is knocked out and not playable for week 2 until the finals when there are only 2 region left to battle it out. This could potentially be a good time filler between end of season 8 and start of season 9. There would also be a wide variety of missions that could also be done during this time. e.g. Win a game as the Yordles or Win a game against the Noxian army as the Demacians.

Many rewards could be entertained with Summoner Icons, Emotes, Skins, and crafting rewards too.

Aforementioned this is a basic concept for an idea and sorry if somebody else has already written up a more detailed and well thought out version of this but I couldn't find any to me knowledge on the forums. (maybe because I'm posting or looking in the wrong area?)
