I win a good amount of games in a row, get into my promos.
And then get queued with the worst people, either people who troll (literally had a kha zix run in my lane and suicide since he was mad at our mid), or I'll just have teammates that are so uninformed about the game.
Does Riot want me to carry the game? is that the point of a promo?
I used to think it was just bad luck and coincidence, but it happens with such regularity during promos that their algorithm must be matching you with players who get reported a lot and/or have chronically low winrates. So, you have to defy their expectations in order to prove that you deserve the next rank. What I can't figure out is why it's usually higher rank players who sink your team with their horrible gameplay and/or behavior. It seems like there's no way they'd ever be able to attain those ranks if they were held to the same standards.
It's ok, I had iron 4 players in my provisinals after placing plat last year, along with every other provisional so far having a straight up run it down mid inter or afker.
yup the system is designed that way
kinda wish riot would admit it instead of gaslighting us since it's so obvious at this point by just observing the game
