Honoring premades has 'literally no benefit.'

From http://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115008474148:

Can I game the system and boost to level 5 by constantly playing with a premade and honoring each other every game? We specifically built Honor so potential exploits like this give you (and your friend) literally no benefit.

Can we get clarification on this statement? You make it sound like I should never honor my premades. I queue with 1-2 other people 100% of the time, usually the same individuals. Does honor from a premade degrade over time if it's been too many times in a certain period? Or is it always at a lower value just because it's premade?

I don't want to basically have a zero or negative impact on my friends' (and mine since honoring raises your own) honor if I end up honoring them frequently.

Being scared of this system and throwing honor to randoms at times they may not deserve it doesn't seem like a good solution, but that's what I'm going to be doing.

I always just skip the honor page. The honor system is a joke and I recieved a wrongful chat ban, so i’m honor locked anyways, no reason to honor anyone if I don’t get anything.

Hey Johnny Mak, that question and answer was more geared toward increasing one's honor level. Honoring your premade buddies still has the following benefits:

  • it may make them feel good [slayer-jinx-wink]
  • two or more premade honors can grant someone loading screen flair, if they're honor level 3 or above
  • if everyone on your team votes, everyone gets a small boost towards the next honor level

Honor doesn't degrade, and works consistently regardless of frequency at this point. I wouldn't recommend throwing honor to randoms whom you don't feel did anything to make the game fun or positive, since it might send the wrong message.

On the other hand, if you're playing in premades, the more the better. We didn't want to discourage anyone from playing with their friends, so please don't be. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

And u don't want to give us more readability it seems. It would be good to know whose with who. When u play against premade it can easly become unfair.

that was in regards to full premades, 5 mans, i imagine 4 mans as well but definitely 5 mans and definitely not 2-3 man premades as they say in part of the article that you can get a border from having 2 premade partners or one stranger honor you

This is kinda beyond stupid to me. This is forcing you to play Solo or with one duo so you can get honors.

Or you can choose to honor No one.

What is dead may never die...is something no one ever said about old threads. Since this thread's been White Walker'd, I'm locking it (due to it's old age).
