Better Bot Wins

Literally 80%+ of my games right now are decided by the better botlane. People cried ADC2k17 lul because for once ADCs weren't an absolute existence in League, so Riot went around buffing shit so now Crit ADCs are back in action. Top it off with Supports being ridiculously impactful rn with their great new itemisation - Ardent Censor, Knights Vow, Redemption to name a few, and you have a situation where the better bot is the role that almost always wins. Honestly the only time I've seen another role outcarry a botlane recently is if they had a DPS/SelfPeeling/Hard Carry/Burster - Aka Yi or Fiora, or if Both Bots were just thoroughly underwhelming and didn't do much.

The worst part about it is that, unlike Top or Mid, Bot lane is literally one of the most difficult lanes to influence. Bot is by far the most counter-snowbally lane, therefore so long as the Better Bot doesn't tilt, they can come back even if you camp them. Not to mention how some Junglers just straight up cannot camp certain botlane compositions unless they get really lucky.

It may seem so only because when bot wins, its usually two fed people you have to deal with, and if jungler camped their lane, then potentially 3, which is usually enough to carry two other players . I still think mid and jungle can carry games easily, but as a guy that mained top for atleast 3 seasons I will say that the role is weak, probably even support these days has more impact than top.

And I seem to have just the opposite problem.

I literally quit ADC because I couldn't carry games with it, despite winning my lane literally 99% of time.

I went from maining ADC secondary top, to top/adc, to top/mid, to mid/top.

And why? Because I could carry sometimes from top, and I could carry almost always from mid.

I don't think there's any debate that mid is the most influential role in the game, with jungler being second. ADC doesn't come close to the top of that. The better bot lane wins? I can't disagree with that more. The better mid and jungler win way more often. Bot lane decides the game when your mid/jungle and possibly top are not only worse than their opponents, but are too ignorant to even realize it. Consistently letting your lane opponent roam (even if you ping it, but often not even pinging it) is what puts your bot lane behind. Sure, your bot lane may lose sometimes, in which case get your ass down there to help them out.

I'm not kidding when I say I could almost always carry from mid. I went on something like an 18-4 streak in mid lane after giving up on playing ADC, even though I was far more practiced in the ADC role and won my own lane there more often.

Now, is ADC+Support more influential than any individual ONE player? Maybe. That makes perfect sense though, it's TWO players that are winning then. If one bot lane is dominating while the other Mid + Jungle are though, there's no contest. Bot lane is not winning that game.

Same here ditched top to main mid/jungle within a week climbed couple divisions after being hardstuck for months. Top sucks XD

From what i see, you mainly play YI and Nida as junglers -- non of them gives CC for ganking or tankiness for zoning in team fight. Maybe you should consider better team composition benefiting the team ?

You was right, better bot can give an edge in team fight but you missed something - bot without protection is not effective.
