Help! I want to master Azir!

Last week,Azir was a free champ so i tried him.It was pretty fun to play him,but i always lost the laning phase.Please give me some tipps and tricks for Azir.

To fully master Azir, you must understand:

Kiting
Last hitting
Tower pushing
Seiging
Orb walking
Positioning
Map awareness
Micromanagement
Your opponent
That you have no health early game
That you will be a golden sack of gold until you get your items
That you have no CC to speak of say a slow and a long cooldown ultimate, meaning that you will bring little to the team but damage
In a team full of squishy carries you will die time and time again with no chance to hurt things
That you are team oriented
That you are dependent on the lategame in a meta focused on early game domination and snowballing to a quick victory
That your trading in lane is peanuts compared to meta mages that will not hesitate to blast you into obvliion every time you stand still to go through a soldier AA animation
That you run out of mana doing your W>Q combo faster than other mages
That you are quite slow

But! If you are willing to brave these obstacles, like so many before you, then you will be an unstoppable force, a sandstorm of retribution! ######Provided you have peel and position well, have a team that has a frontline and can stall till late, or can feed you kills to speed the process up, etc.

first get a pigeon. second follow the pigeon till you can bob your head with it. third you have mastered birdman.

Just so you're aware, Riot is purposefully keeping Birdman on the weaker side of things until he can be reworked. He's not impossible to win with or anything like that, but you're going to have work harder to succeed with him than a lot of other champs.

Thx but i do not understand all of those things.I just know how to last-hit and that Azir is a Lategame champ.

A few quick things I can give advice on as an Azir main for a first-timer:

Nashors tooth will almost always be your first item, item 3101 being your first buy if possible. In really rough lanes it may be beneficial to go double dorans.

Your level 2 is perhaps one of the strongest in the midlane. w aa q aa will proc thunderlords and likely do around half of the enemy midlaner's hp.

Always bring barrier. (rarely is it acceptable to do otherwise.)

Attempt to fool your opponent to getting too close to the tower at level 6, ult them under it.

Save your flashes as long as possible, w e q (shurima shuffle) will get you out of most danger. Only flash when necessary.

At level 1 don't waste a bunch of mana summoning soldiers, try to use your base autos to last hit and only summon a soldier if hitting your opponent.

Your boots should either be item 3006 or item 3020 I find that the pen is not really needed as your third item should almost always be item 3135 these days.

When you get your stinger most people will underestimate how fast you can do your w aa q aa aa or w q aa aa. No matter what you will want to proc that thunderlords. Embrace it.

In addition, azir's soldier's farming allows you more freedom of mind to think about and anticipate what your enemy will do in many cases. You can easily use this time to move yourself. The biggest thing many new azir players forget is to also move their champion. If you can position yourself well as an azir everything else starts falling into place.
