Braum still viable? for tank/support? or other better choices?

Been a big braum fan for a while, but have been thinking of changing it up, sadly braum has W nerfed which was a nice Offense, wished they would buff his D a little more, but guess asking to much, wondering everyone elses thoughts on braum or maybe thoughts on other champions? I was looking at blitzcrank or alistar... any thoughts?

Unless he gets some form of waveclear, hes always going to be outclassed. Braums Q does okay damage, but the meta is flanker ADCs and braum doesnt help with that.

Reworked Alistar is really useful against some of the more annoying mage supports out there.

Braum is still decent. On-Hit Braum also works in the top lane.

Blitzcrank is in his own class. If you're good with skillshots, you can really ruin someones day with him.

Braum is really good still. I love Braum supports.

Can we switch ELOs? Every time I get to go Braum instead of picking, say, Malz so lock down their hypercarry, literally no one follows up on anything I do. No stacks on Q, even with my shield up. Nothing.

Our ELOs are not that different lol.

I don't know. I feel like all my silver ADC friends (who have duos of their own) have better game sense than half of the ADCs I find myself paired with.

Nunu is a better pick in pretty much every aspect. He has a heal. he deals more damage, he can buff his allies, he has a perma-slow, and his mana costs are obsolete because of his passive. Plus, with his ult you can make cool plays and nuke a third of enemies' Health away. That's almost as much as a LeBlanc Q. He's practically an Assassin.

I think buffing flash would buff everyone. :P

I feel like melee supports are just in a terrible state right now with the exception of maybe Sion (which will push the wave and tilt your fragile-minded ADCs). I can do well with Taric but I also have like level 7 on him, tons of games, etc.

Braum just feels... like a sacrificial lamb. He feels like he dies before he can do much damage negation and he doesn't have much ability to turn things around to an offensive. Q and ult is about it and that relies too much on your ADC not being a braindead nitwit.

Play Braum to your heart's content. There won't be any problems for him that will affect you.

I really like to play Braum also, but with more ap carries in the support role or adc role I find it more difficult to be effective in the early - mid game unless against other melee supports. Also Braum does not utilize courage of colossus as well as other melee supports which seems to hurt his early trade potential. He has solid engage and shielding ability when team fights occur, but Taric does everything Braum does but just better right now. If they gave Braums W a shield to target ally then I think he would be a better choice.
