Legal way to leave

buzz kill96··1 votes·586 views

there should be a legal way to leave a match for valid reasons, like just today i was forced to leave a match due to family reasons and i know this will happen alot to kids who have moms that force them to get off or when people are being harassed by other players for no reason and are feeling insecure and dont wanna play anymore, so i was wondering if there was some way people could leave a match like twice a week without being penalized, like maybe a cpu takes over for the character or something of the sort, post what you guys think and why you have that opinion.

Before starting a game you should have at least an hour set aside. Postpone all updates, double check that. Make sure your charger is plugged in, that your dog already pooped, your kids were tucked in for bed, the real housewives have been set to DVR.

If you can't make the time then I wouldn't start a game. That being said, we can't all be Zilean Zilean and foresee everything. For example your house catching on fire or a power outage. In that one in a million situation you'd only get a warning. One of the many it will take before any penalty is actually taken. So as long as these unforeseen extreme situations that cause you to leave a game don't happen that often. As they shouldn't (or at least I hope your house doesn't catch fire multiple times a week.) you should be fine and not worry about having to leave a game every once in a while.

this is about all there is to say. this is misguided they should nerf the dodge restricitons and im adding this to see what you think.

if you have people dodging becuase of you 7-8 times youll get the picture that what your saying or doing isnt funny.

the people who claim queing would take to long fail to realize the current system buts a gun to your back with a knife in front of you. the hand holding the gun is saying walk forward even if you know a player is going to throw a match.

after enough dodging and enough time spent in a que players would make one two choices

stop the feeding threats and stop the trolling or get sick of the game in leave.

i personally am okay with them leaving it shows how shallow their will is

I've seen a few threads like this before. It's mostly because of how intimidating it is when you first leave a game with the new leaverbuster and it forces you to write "I Agree" to never leave a game again. That essentially means "if you leave 9 or so more times you'll be put in a low priority queue" Which makes you wait 20+ minutes before being able to queue for a match. Leaverbuster isn't meant to get the people who leave everyone once and a while but the people who intentionally leave or afk when they don't get their way.

So you have nothing to worry about.

well, another thing would be nice is if Riot could make some sort of bot that isnt uber powerful but doesnt suck that can replace someone when they leave so the ally team isnt doomed to loose

No

If you're mom is forcing you to get off league then maybe you're too young to be playing it in the first place.

buzz kill961 votes

i dont, but id bet 50% of league players live with some form of guardian.

If your mom forces you off your computer in the middle of a game without proper warning, you should not be playing league of legions.

in a previous comment someone said something verrry similar, and as I told that user, probably 50% of league players live with some form of guardian, I was trying to cover all the areas in which someone was being forced to leave, be it family matters like an accident or mom wants you to be social, or some form of unexpected cause like internet provider decides to update their stuff at their HQ, so, thank you for giving input, i dont know whether you attack me, or trying to get through to twelve year olds that might read this, and for the record i do not live with a guardian of some sort

nope

you queue up for a game and leave deal with the consequences.

The leaver buster system is already pretty lenient, unless you leave games frequently.

Sinister Snail2 votes

The system is lenient enough to accommodate shit occasionally happening. If you get a penalty, it's because you've been regularly leaving games, and whatever the reason, you should look into it before continuing. I'm of the "clear an hour of free time" opinion. Nothing worse than

LeeSin K guys got an appointment in 25 min, let's end quick

Azir Nasus Vayne Thresh That is not going to happen.

The issue is that Riot has no way of knowing whether the reason is legitimate or not and for all they know you simply unplugged your router and bailed. This idea and variations of it have been posted for years and the response is always going to be the same, NO. The rules are pretty clear and it even tells you before hand don't queue up unless you've got the time for a game.

If you have parent's, chores etc then you should make sure you won't get interrupted since it's not Riot's job to be your keeper so to speak or be responsible for you. The system has lots of built in leniency for real life issues that come up but if you're getting hit with Leaverbuster punishments then that's your own fault and not Riot's. You need to make sure you arrange with your parent's/guardian you have a set time to play and then play within that time.

Iv'e got 2 sons one 18 now and 1 one 16 who've been playing League since it came out and I gave them the same rules as most parent do, they had to do their homework chores 1st. Once those were done if it wasn't to close to the time to get off they could play. You need to do the same thing since Riot isn't ever going to lower their standards on this.

Make out a timesheet or something like that and set it up with your parent's guardian the times you can play and then make sure you both abide by the agreement.
