Incentive to Group or Bully?
I am typing this after taking a couple of hours to allow my frustrations to dissipate a little bit. I have witnessed, heard about, or been part of an increasing number of groups comprised of bullies. When you enter a Normal Game with Blind Pick, you are supposed to call your lanes out and get the lane you're able to call first. This is common knowledge. However, when you enter a Queue by your lonesome, and are placed with a group of three or four, you don't always get that right. In fact, these people that group up and queue together are generally obnoxious and don't let you do anything, They'll all be in a Skype (or other service) call and ignore you almost completely; And this is a better of the two scenarios. If they don't completely ignore you, they resort to taking all the kills and teaming up against you and whatever you're trying to say. In one particular instance, I was simply trying to explain myself when my lane that I was going to play was taken and I was sent top as an ADC, and they all badgered me the entire game about how bad I was and that I don't deserve kills. As soon as the game was over they all blatantly lied about the situation and then reported me as a group. Read that again, "Reported me as a group." And that's the real issue. I later received a notification from Riot that I was being unsportsmanlike. Sure I got a little salty toward the end of an hour long game that I was the focus of four people's rage, but who wouldn't. I'm most upset that a team of bullies can report me as one single unit and the 4v1 against me is successful. I almost stopped playing, and I'm not normally the person to let these things effect me. I'm the type that generally allows people to take a lane I call first if they ask nicely. And I was walked all over because of this. If you have had something like this happen to you please tell your story and get this post some kind of recognition. Nobody should have to find a group of their own just to avoid being attacked by rampant fools and bullies.
