Warrior is pretty terrible on Yi. Even without stacks, devourer and current bloodrazor are better. Attack speed on Yi is just that good
WoonStruck1 votesNot really. Pretty much anything that benefits auto attacks does well on Yi, not just attack speed. Warrior is only bad if you build absolutely no attack speed and expect to do anything without your ult.

It's not because you have to build AD at some point on Yi that Warrior is good on him. It's just worse than the attack speed options. It delays your powerspike and synergizes poorly with your kit for the slot it takes. Just some AD and cdr (which is close to useless, well since ult CD nerf might be a tiny bit better).
It's also a question of rushing the good item. You wouldn't rush attack speed on an AD-reliant ad carry, yet it's still good lategame. Well similarly you won't rush AD on Yi which has extreme synergy with attack speed, though he has AS steroid on ult and AD's good on him mid-lategame.
And finally, Recurve Bow is insanely good right now, you don't want to pass on that.

Attack speed on Yi is just that good I went full attack speed runes, and the dmg on him i build is to make his e SUPER STRONG. With my normal build rout i get up to 100 true dmg on every attack
