Caitlyn cancel Malz ult

I was playing a game against a Caitlyn and she was able to cleanse/exit out of my ult in 1 second. She did not have either Cleanse or QSS - so wondering which ability of hers allows her to do this.

she doesn't have anything that allows that, Either someone on her team had the other chalice item that I can't think of the name for or you accidentally canceled your ult early.

Mikael's crucible.

Activate removes any debuff from a target allied champ and heals.

It's possible somebody bought item 3222 and used it on her, though I don't know if that cleanses Malz Suppress.

That item along with Qss will cleanse malz ult. That is part of the reasons malz never see to much play in the super high tier of the ranked ladder. One item pretty much negates this champs damage. Just look as Malz win rate the higher the elo the more it drops and its all because of QSS and shit like that.

When I do play malz, because of this, I tend to ult a champion who is disruptive, like a tank, to buy my team number advantage. A tank won't generally buy Qss but somebody like an Assassin might.

That not a bad strat either especially if you can lock down the tank in your W with a full QER combo plus ignite. Malz gets away with that %hp is good against tanks. It usually doesn't work though as you'll just get targeted before you can finish unless you have a team protecting you.

Actually, the item 3222 doesn't remove suppresses, like Malzahar and Warwick ults.

Could you have been CC'd? Cait trap, accidentally clicked move, silenced, etc.?

I thought that too for a long time, but check the active description again and note that "suppression" isn't mentioned and that it's a separate class of CC -

item 3222 : "Unique: Removes all stuns, roots, taunts, fears, silences and slows on an allied champion and heals for 150 + (10% of the target's maximum health). (180 second cooldown. 750 range.)"

Huh... I'll have to test this out... Ill run a test tomorow and comeback with a result. Cuz im so certain i've used it in the past... Could be wrong doe. To be continued.

If there was no QSS and your ult didn't get interrupted, it means Caitlyn was taken out of range and broke the tether. This could have been achieved by several methods, including her own E.
