Why isn't there a TRUE solo queue yet where duos aren't allowed?

This would get rid of duos trolling the surrender vote to hold the team hostage, it would eliminate duo boosting, and duo smurfing (which is much more consistent than solo smurfing). It makes no sense why we don't have one.

If you wanna know the truth, Riot owns boosting/account selling websites and they make profit from that.

Probably because all the players complaining about duos holding them back have to search for another thing to blame and riot is ok with that it is duoQ.

Because they want people to get boosted and allow people from Higher divisions to stomp lower division scrubs.

DuoQ was blocked for some time 2,3 years ago and it was great. The soloQ experience got better and players overall got better. But pro players complained a bit since they can't practice, so Riot allowed it back.

With the introduction of new server on NA where pro players will only play against each other and can practice as much as they want my guess is that one day they will remove DuoQ again. SoloQ should be for SOLOQ and in order to be better and improve so you can one day go pro, you need to play alone and show your true skill, leadership etc.

Playing duo with someone ruins the MMR, ruins the competitiveness, ruins overall experience. Getting your duo to camp you entire game so you can snowball and win without any game knowledge, just brute 1v2 force, can win you a game and it's disgusting.

riot would do it if people actually only played solo.

tons of people, including high masters/challenger players, say they crave a solo Q experience. Yet they duo Q daily and a lot of the top challenger players abuse duo Q for elo, as 2 peope who are on the same page can easily beat 5 random people at that elo, as the skill level barely changes between masters to challenger.

Yeah. 10 years and we still have no TRUE display of an individual's skill.

Because friends want to be able to play a true ranked experience together.

Just make the rank requirement a little closer so the duo has a similar standing in mmr so the system can pull from a healthy pool.

In my opinion that would help the issue.

if would give me a proper way to play the game. instead i have to go troll in flex or something lol

NuggetMilk11/5/2019, 4:50:27 AM2 votes

I personally would LOVE that. I never duo with friends in ranked because when I reach a high rank like say diamond? I want to be able to say that I'M good enough to be diamond. I want to stand on the platform of my own skill so that no one can say that I get carried by a teammate every game. If I really wanted to play ranked with friends, there's flex.

I for one would play a lot more ranked if solo queue was ACTUALLY solo queue, not booster queue.

edit: and I would play support there, too.

VanCanBanMan11/5/2019, 2:04:29 AM1 votes

I understand, but nobody gives a shit about your flex q rank.

Flemman11/3/2019, 11:22:15 PM1 votes

I guess the queue for support would drop big time if they do this.

Tagging for supp in low elo not having the reliable teammate in case you are match with 3 poeple playing badly would be pretty nerve recking in the long run (or they need to turn all supp into pyke carry potential to make the role worth chosing as a pure solo player)

Practice Tool.

Dakeudharma11/4/2019, 10:47:07 AM1 votes

Just leaving response that I would appreciate that. Now when RIOT will have many more games it makes sense, since if you want to play with friends you don't have only FLEX but also TFT RUNETERRA, LEAGUE MMO, LEAGUE SHOOTER and LoL MOBILE.

Can I get a Moderator or Rioter to comment about this? They seem to always be AFK on important posts like this one.

Morticianjohn11/4/2019, 3:20:08 PM1 votes

Math. It takes five players to make a team. Duos can only ever get 4 players. If there is ever a separate queue for solo players queue times would go up.

Boards members don't care about queue times. I read every day people whine about they will wait 10 minutes or more just to get the role selection. The problem is that you only make up a small portion of the player base and to the vast majority of players queue times matter.
