ranked match making

why if i am bronze 2 am i getting silver 1,2 and even a gold 5 in a freakin ranked match. I have accepted that in normals that will happen but as a competitive match ranked should be against ppl that are close to your rank. its frustrating in the least. last night i had to lane against a gold 5 leblanc as viktor, boy did i ever get rekted. Still won the match but why would i have to deal with matches in ranked were the oppent has ppl that are a whole division higher, ( i can see that in high elo) in low elo like wtf how the hell are u supposed to climb outta bronze when you need to be high silver/low gold just to be even with the ppl you are matched agianst
