Why doesnt RIOT care anymore about players being happy playing their game?

Can i please get a response from Riot member why did the company decide to restrict the right to add custom skins into the game? I still remember when they said, that custom skins do not hurt the game balance, and, quote

Our business is in making our players happy

So please, Riot games, i'm playing this game for about 6 years now, explain me, what have changed? So many talanted developers, who truly loved League and were bringing their art to community, why would you change add private key to the archives? (basically, what happened, game files now require private key, and you can get banned if you try to edit them)

Just explain me one simple thing: i loved the company and it's ideology so much, when did you turn into such a thristy for money capitalistic pigs? What made you decide that you need EVEN MORE money instead of ACTUALLY HAPPY PLAYERS?
