Maxing 'E' Second over 'Q' on Kog'Maw?

KogMaw KogMaw KogMaw KogMaw KogMaw People say to max W then E on Kog'Maw, but I used to max Q second and tomax E because it helps a lot for self-peel, chasing, kiting, and running away, but I believed that Q was a better option.

Kog'Maw's Q is called Caustic Spittle.

"[Caustic Spittle] (Level 1) Launches a corrosive projectile that deals 80 (+0) Magic Damage to the first enemy hit and reduces its Armor and Magic Resist by 12% for 4 seconds."

So as it states, it reduces armor and magic resistance by a certain percentage. I maxed it for this reason to help increase more damage. But I need some insight on why maxing E second is better. Some people don't even put a point in Q until level 13.

Also, people say that the Q reduces Kog'Maw's DPS, but the cast time is only 0.25 seconds and the damage it causes should make up for it, shouldn't it?

Need some insight, thoughts, explanations. Thanks! KogMaw KogMaw KogMaw KogMaw KogMaw

q is a weak skill shot. literally useless when fighting in a creep wave.

max w because it's broken, then max e for damage/self peel.

Alot of people don't have enough resistances to make his Q worth it until later in the game because its a percentage. E would do more initial damage, hit more targets and slow them allowing you more time to pelt them with your insane attack speed. The cast time alone would cost you 2-3 autos.

Q = Single Target Skillshot with just enough %-shred to be worth throwing at lvl.18 Tanks..

E = AoE Slow Field, that provides not just a bit of self peel, but also helps chasing and more importantly, it's more valueable in teamfights.

Kog is all about teamfight and smaller skirmishes. If you want to duel 1v1, there are plenty of other, better choices for that.
