I have mained Galio for countless months, and it saddens me greatly to see that the Sentinel's Sorrow is on his way out. New Galio bears little resemblance to current ""Galio,"" with a radically different playstyle, appearance, voiceover, and personality. I feel in love with Galio's "humble protector" personality. New ""Galio"" looks fun as his own champion, but old Galio shouldn't be removed to make way for him.

i havent been happy with any of them so far, everyone of them over the last year or so has lead to me completely abandoning the champ.

Poppy was the best relaunch, at least. Sions was a massive nerf, yorick is just an emo twink...

A rework is slight changes which keep the champions "theme and personality" in tact while "retaining their kit". Galio, poppy, sion, and yorick are not reworks. Theyre completely new champions.
What riot needs to do is create "traditional" skins for those who are relaunched - skins that pay homage to what the champion was before AND USE THE OLD VOICE OVER. I still have the original sion voice over mod because i bloody hate that emo ass fish turd missing his foot we have now.

Highschoolers had traditional sion done and modded as a fully realized custom skin in a school weeks worth of lunch breaks. The custom VO was done two days after PBE was updated. Traditional skins arent hard. Theyre just the old voice lines and recoloring with slightly different textures.
Riot classifies a RELAUNCH as a re-release of a champion with an entirely new kit, background, personality, and model that is unrecognizable from the previous. Poppy, sion, karma, and yorick are COMPLETELY unrecognizable from what they were before, with minimal similarities. They are, in essence, an entirely NEW champion.
Shen, warwick, and malzahar are reworks because even though their kits were changed, they were STILL recognizable as what they were before and retained their personality.

Your definition of relaunch isn't the same as riots. I also played Galio and I am extremely upset with these changes but one thing we should keep in mind is that when riot claims they are going to rework a champion they are literally stating that they will add a new champion with little to no resemblance to the original champion with the same name. We saw these changes with eve, karma, sion, poppy and yorick, truth is many of our beloved champions will end up wiped eventually, we just have to deal with it.

and it's really stupid. Yeah, poppy's old kit was toxic(well really it was just her passive and ult), but there was NOTHING wrong with her as a character. I think they actually did a decent job visually by keeping her similar to her old design with some really good updates to visuals like her armor. However, she isn't poppy. she is a new champion that was "influenced" by the "real poppy". It really just grinds my gears cause it completely unnecessary. These champs are getting reworks because their gameplay is bad, not their character. Also, we know now that riot is certainly capable of doing a proper rework as evidence by the new 
VO. This is what should be done with all reworks that involve new VO's. Lux is still the same character she was just updated and refined to draw out her character more than her old VO. As an 
main i feel you man, cause she is right behind galio to getting her chacter axed by a "rework"(aka champion replacement).

MrEctomy1 votesGalio main here. The terrible thing is, they just stole 3 Malphite abilities and tacked them onto Galio. Malph's punches, his passive shield, and his ult. Hell, Galio's new E is just a weaker version of his ult! And it can't even go through walls! It's a goddamn travesty.
