Catering to the casual player

Have played the game since before season 1 began. I've watched all the ups and downs, minus one break in season 4. I've seen all of the broken champion releases, and how the importance of the PBE was supposed to fix that (sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't), but the thing that really gets me recently (and I know some of which I am about to mention aren't recent changes) is how I feel riot caters more to the casual side of this game. They are constantly pushing the Esports realm, but then fill the public realm with a lot of, garbage for a lack of a better word.

Here are some thing I think should be different in RANKED, I don't care about normal games. If you want to keep all this candy %#! stuff for normal games, then go ahead.

Leaver Buster System, honestly it isn't harsh enough. I really feel there should be day worth bans if someone leaves more than once. And if someone just has bad connection, they should be connection tested before going into the game. If they do not meet minimum ping requirements, sorry you can't play ranked. You're ruining games for the vast majority of us, I don't care if you feel its unfair that only YOU can't play ranked. How fair is it for YOU to ruin a game for the rest of us. Obviously this system isn't working because I am still getting leavers at a nauseating rate. Nasus goes top, dies 2 times before 10 minutes. No one says a word to him about it, and he just leaves.

Mute System. It should be removed plain and simple. This is a team game, and you're literally giving the players the option to just completely block out their entire team and why? Because 2015 was the year that everyone got offended. Grow the %#!% up, change the game to 18 or older, and let people swear. I feel that I (and many before me) have earned the right to $#!% talk someone if they do something stupid. Quit with this whole "oh they are so BM or so toxic." You want to create a competitive gaming feel? Then stop letting the hurt feelings of a few crap players determine what goes on in the league. I could really talk about this system for hours, it makes 0 sense. How can you take the ONLY chat system we have and let people mute each other in it. Destroys my only chance at teamwork.

Bottom line, if your connection sucks, don't play ranked. If you can't take constructive criticism, don't play ranked. If you can't take the $#%# talking, don't play ranked. It's called RANKED, it should be a competitive environment. Professional athletes #$%# talk each other ALL THE TIME. You don't see any of them crying about it. When someone #%!$ talks me, I don't report them because the probably have a legitimate reason to flame me. Instead I hold my own and explain the reason as why thought what I was doing was right. And I have learned a lot from these scenarios.

Please do something about this game. If it has something to do with under-aged players then separate the group of players by age group being adults and children. I mean I can go 10 games in a row without saying one word in the chat, and yet out of these 10 games, I'll have 4 games with a player who will say "all muted" after #$%#!$%! the bed and blowing their lane, 3 games where people just flat out leave for no apparent reason other than losing their lane and basically deciding they would rather just not play this game, and 2 games with a player who complains about their connection. Leaving me with 1 out of 10 games that I can actually enjoy. And half the time I can't even do that because the enemy team is having the same problems that I am having 90% of the time.

Signed A disgruntled pre-season 1 vet.

I thought the consensus circlejerk here was that Riot only cares about the pros...
