Morgana pick and banrate is increasing because she counters hook champions really well you know the aids of botlane atm especially blitzcrank. Her banrate is over the limit riot claimed that they would force nerf a champion (Though I doubt they would do that but Just incase :C). I Am not a support main and i know morgana is an aids champ to go against because of her annoying 3 second root and her pretty much point and click poke but really her ban and pick is only going up because of this "hook meta" with her black shield. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Forgot to throw in my own Opinion in this. I think morgana shouldnt be nerfed because she counters hook champs really well and hook champs are really OP right now

Should morgana be nerfed because shes picked against the OP champions............no. Just no. If you wanted me to go ahead and say nerf the hook meta a bit you did it. No more hooker buffs please. Turn of phrase win notwithstanding.

she has a high ban rate because she is a really good counter pick to a lot of champions not because she is op.....

Hook champs need nerfing, not Morgana.

I see what you did thar: You saw a Morg buff thread and decided to counterpoint it, even though that's NOT the metric Riot uses to measure nerf/buff qualifications.

What they do use: Ban Rate + Win rate. Champion Skill Cap on Mastery

Currently Morgana is 49.1% Win rate, and she is one of the lowest ceilings of masteries of all League champions. In other words, she's not even close to a potential nerf.

It is arguable though that she deserves a slight buff (probably to her W, since right now, unless she's somehow drastically ahead, a Q/W Combo isn't even threatening without her ult)

Poor Morgana ;-; gonna get nerfed because of riot over buffing champs I like having morgana as my support shes a true lifesaver and when I go against her I dont find her broken or anything this is kind of unfair imo :/ If she actually gets nerfed Ill be disappointed

Shes a counter pick based champion, so her winrate will be high as she is only reliably picked into specific lanes.

To be honest. Morgana is a sort of joker card on botlane. It cannot be countered by the adc+support style. The reason many bans her is, because she hard counters every all-in.

Poker support: Morgana herself is a poker support so mirror fight.

All-in: spellshield erase all CC. Prevents your all-in.

Enchanter: Again skillplay. Unless you got Caitlyn. With that any Q, that hits is pretty much instakill, if she reacts, and place a trap.

Her bind does so much damage. 300 damage + 90% AP scaling. It's just death to an ADC in lane. She's frustrating to play against in lane because she can stop you from getting your CC off, while she can hit one bind and the lane is over because it's such a long root that can be chain CC'd Caitlyn Jinx Ashe Varus and deals so much damage. Not many people like that and I think that's pretty understandable

The size of the projectile, the damage it does (and allows for) are too many positive tradeoffs for "It's slow"

Morgana's ban rate has absolutely nothing to do with her state of balance and has everything to do with the fact that Pyke Nautilus Blitzcrank and Leona players are too brain dead to learn how to play a lane.

Hook champs are strong right now, they've just made one of them stronger, so their LITERAL ONLY COUNTER, is going to get banned and lots.

Make hook champs less OP and Morg's ban rate would plummet.

No. Champs should just stop receiving CC in every single spell is all. Legit every champ nowadays has 1 -2 CC spells in the kit. 8 champs I believe in total in league that don’t carry any CC in their kit or who don’t have spells that connect to Cc.

She's banned because everyone enjoys a cheese botlane with pyke, blitz, or thresh picks making it easy to feed their adc. These hook picks don't like any counter engage champs or champs that do a good job helping provide safety for their adc. She's hardly ban worthy and her CDs are already extremely long early game with her Black Shield being nerfed a while back to where she might get 1 shield for every 2-3 hooks thrown. Her W damage is minut and easy to step out of. Her Q is all she has going for her early and even that is easy to dodge.
