Evelynn MAY receive an update IN 2017?

What? Evelynn has literally been at a stupid, hard to play spot for nearly 3 years. When I first started the game, she still had her stun on E and the old stealth mechanism. While I'm in no way defending that kit, I find it ridiculous that given her current kit and the completely (nearly) useless stealth system that she has, Rito still isn't even sure that she'll be getting any attention in the FOLLOWING YEAR. She used to be one of my favourite champions, even when you guys messed up horribly by removing her stun and giving her a slow in the old days. However, she is so terrible and non-versatile that I can't even play her in normals. Not only that, she is one of the only champions who is forced into a single role in game and isn't even decent at it. This is just my two cents but I honestly believe she needs to have priority. Just giving her a fancy new splash art meant NOTHING to me and I'm sure lots of other former Eve players feel the same way. I am open to any and all explanations. I'm also curious about other people's opinions about the matter.

Meanwhile, Zed and Ekko receive buffs to keep them relevant in the meta at all times!

Honestly at this point I expect even when she does receive a rework, that she will just get nerfed even further into unplayability so I don't even know if i should look forward to her getting touched. It NEVER ends well.

It honestly never ends well. It'll look SO good, but as soon as people realize any form of viability, booms, down the hole she goes again.

Yorick definitely deserves priority. At least Eve has actually gotten skins and is allowed to be in the free week rotation.

Ryze gets priority because he's a problem. Eve is more of a "she isn't relevant, she can be irrelevant a while longer".

I mean they can only give full reworks to like 3/4 champions per year. This year they're doing Taric Ryze Yorick and someone else, most likely Warwick.

For next year there are any number of candidates for full VGUs: Riot have expressed interest in giving full updates Galio Urgot Evelynn Irelia Mordekaiser Shaco Swain and probably more champions than that are waiting too.

There's a good chance Eve will get her rework next year but there are other champions that badly need them as well. Anyone who gets a rework instead of her probably needs one just as badly as she does. I would be incredibly happy if Eve got reworked next year as I really want to be able to play her as an assassin but you can't deny that people like Urgot are just as deserving of attention.

IDK man, I've seen plenty of Urgot players at least being able to hold their grounds nicely against popular ADC's. Never have I ever (lol) seen my beloved Eve in a single game since like...last year or something. And the thing is I can't blame people. I don't feel like playing her either because she just feels so weak and out of place. Riot always talks about the importance of portrayal of power, as in how abilities "feel" etc. Even Eve's ult feels lackluster

Well at least Urgot has received changes/buffs that help him. I've seen A LOT of Urgot mid recently to a very good degree.

I'm pretty sure Meddler said Shaco wasn't being looked at for a rework.

He did, and he's not right now, but on the other hand Ququroon said a few days ago that Shaco would need a full VGU and Ququ is actually on the champion update team. So he probably won't get a rework very soon, but I was just listing him to show that there are a lot of people that are also being given consideration for VGUs.

Yorick and Evelynn are imo in the most dire need of a rework than any champ in history. Warwick can wait.

She's great with sated/guinsoos. With the changes, I have a feeling she's going to be really amazing with the new jungle item and her double proc on E.

She's fine and she has been most of the last 3 years. I don't want to be mean, but have you considered that maybe you just don't know what you are doing with her?

when they rework her, there's a very good chance they make her into a completely different champion which kinda sucks for all the people who enjoy her unique playstyle currently.

Compared to like yorick, warwick, etc., she is much less boring, much more popular, and generally in a healthier place.

I'm not really sure I'd say that her stealth is useless...

It gives a huge amount of pressure. It's useless for combat yeah but since she's normally a jungler it's a pretty strong passive just by forcing people to play more passive or else feed her.
