Bard: The Jungle Buff of Myth and Legend?
His kit is fantastic for helping out junglers who require a little extra early help on their first few clears (and ganks to a degree).
Now, to be clear, I don't mean you should be following your jungler around as other supports do with their ADCs bot-lane (though you could). It drains XP unnecessarily, and doesn't take advantage of what your kit offers for them as it stands. For example, the healing properties of Bards W mature over time, and slapping them down directly in front of the jungler does not do much in terms of allowing the heal to become optimal while also allowing you to be proactive with your roaming to and from lanes. And of course we wouldn't want too many tears to be shed from our lonely ADC, now would we?
If you know your jungler's route, and especially where they are most vulnerable in terms of both execution or surprise visits from the enemy jungler, placing a pack or two around those places in advance (think approaching their third camp with a follow-up for after). Hell, with the speed buff and extra health it might be a good idea to place another one in a position that helps directly with ganking. Want to help both the jungler and laners after those first few clears? Make a path with them heading towards a lane as well as one in the lane itself. One-two, and what do you know, an enemy laner or two is suddenly dead.
Tl;dr I'm excited about Bard's ability to help lanes both directly and indirectly by helping the jungler without being attached to their hip.
