Normals MMR is separate than ranked MMR.

Can i not play vs gold 5s in normals as a diamond player?

Thanks

Stop winning more games than you lose, then you'll stop seeing plats and diamonds. MMR exists in normals as well. However, you won't really improve if you just avoid those games.

I commonly ran into Diamond and Master ranked players (with a few Challenger sprinkled in) whilst playing in Dominion before Riot nuked it from orbit. I enjoyed playing with and against them since it would give me a real opportunity to improve my play. Playing with people who know how to coordinate feels worlds different from people who have no idea what they're doing.

So I would say, take it as a learning experience instead of an opportunity to complain.

Yea..not a real fun experience when you go against professor akali (d5?) when you are a gold 4.

I cant say I learned much watching him obliterate our entire team.

why ? they play just like golds, on my silver 2 smurf my drafts mmr is pretty high with and against diamonds almost everytime they play just like the plebs in my ranked games

Here's a game with a >500 MMR difference game. As expected, the team with the lower MMR was absolutely STOMPED. Glad they "fixed their matchmaking system" like the video said. Maybe we don't need a 30% faster queue time if their algorithm isn't as robust as they think it is.

Do you think the other way around is fun? Not only people are not trying to win at all in normals, but also they are lower skill level

I feel your pain but premades are usually the problem

Can I not have gold 5s on my team as a diamond?

Thanks.

Can I also not be teamed up with unranked/bronze kids in gold 3?

Also, while we're at it, can I not be teamed up with pre-made 5s when I queue solo?

Thaaaaannks.

I had the unfortunate issue of playing against a Plat 5 Katarina one trick in top lane not long ago. I'm unranked... yeah I lost. My normal set of people is low gold so, guessing their norms MMR was low.

i mean riot dont give a fuck about normal games, in my last game (normal game) my team had me and another gold and 3 unranked, the enemy team had 4 golds and one plat player, who do you think was gona win?riot match making is just that dumb.

Id love to go against diamonds myself. Helps you improve.

Rank up, then you won’t be gold 5

Why, as a diamond player, should I have to go against diamonds, when I'm learning a new role or champion that I am bronze-tier levels of skill with?

I queue for normals to get away from my Diamond level counterparts, so that I actually have a chance to practice and learn new things.

No thanks OP.

For any of you talking about the "normal mmr" that is 100% a myth. I have seen the full range of ranks in my normal games... in one single normal game. That is a level 14 ADC supporting my MASTER tier blitzcrank supp, no they were not premade, the blitzcrank was very upset XD. In my every game I play at norms I'm just about as likely to get a pre-30 as I am anything else, and you'd have to try hard to explain how an MMR system would put someone who hasnt even played enough games to hit 30 in the same "normal mmr" as D+ accounts that have a ton more normal games played.
