Yeah I remember seeing Shaco on the enemy team meant he was GUARANTEED to invade you and would chase you around for the first 3 levels, that if you survived it unscathed as his jungle opponent well congratulations you would now have a higher chance of winning the game and less so for Shaco; you had to rigorously check the dragon again and again and ward the pinks around lane openings; but if you managed to drag the game longer than 15-20 min then you'd get another congratulation because that meant Shaco would fall off a cliff and became a literal clown and would do very little outside of occasionally annoy you with boxes here and there (at most he could do is filling a brush completely with boxes and hope some sucker walk into it, but that's kinda it).

As much as I hate Shaco, I play Zyra. Trigger boxes with plants. Root both Shacos. Ult both Shacos. Collect gold.
When in doubt, build Spooky Ghosts and run item active CDR.
I'd rather deal with a Shaco than a Yi, Kha'zix, or Fizz. Still hate Shaco, though. Nerf, plz.
Remember how like 3 weeks ago, a good chunk of people on Boards were calling Meddler a hack for saying Shaco is really strong and will need nerfs after Duskblade nerfs?

Riot has been doing away with that for everyone but supports fighters and a Tanks. Because 'we dont want champions to feel useless when they arent strong' So they overload them with something for every situation.
Now that only happens if the Shaco player is on your team.

If Riot nerfs him, I hope they do it in a way that doesn't weaken his ability to play mind games or weaken AP Shaco since his off-build is still pretty weak. I think Shaco should always be balanced around playing mind-games and tricking opponents rather than 1-shotting them. One thing to keep in mind is that Shaco really does have a really experienced and dedicated playerbase, so something like 50-53% winrate with 3-4% play rate probably is actually balanced for Shaco (he is above that right now though).

main and let me tell you something.
You have many tools to counter Shaco. 
Following champions are also very strong against him 
Most of Shaco players will always gank from the same places, a well placed ward will always do the trick. Shaco's best weapon is his ability to surprise you. Remove that from the equation and this is over for him. I'm playing since around season 3 and that Dusk compensation is literally the first buff he ever had, the Shaco community is extremely dedicated to him so please excuse us to be such on the edge.
Now on a personal note, i was always extremely disappointed in Shaco's rework. He has lost his identity and became a 
wannabe, thanks to Dark Harvest. If you ever tried Shaco you probably wondered.. do i max Q or E ? Do i put 2-3 points in Q then Max e ? Is it even worth maxing his ultimate ? His kit is a mess and i think Riot needs to work with the community for a new rework that will satisfy everyone.
Don't hate on the clown, he's such an amazing champion with so much character.

His jungle is absolutely horrid. By far it is probably the single worst jungle in the entire game. If you fuck up his level 1 and especially if you get a kill or a 2nd camp in an early invade, hes just done. He cannot keep up with his own jungle, and will fall off the planet.
If hes in lane, he is heavily reliant on his boxes. He plays a lot like a teemo, except melee. He will die instantly in any fight, unless he gets you into one of the traps he set up prior, or outsmarts you with R.

Remember when ganking early was a unique aspect of Shaco? Now it seems like almost any champion can gank at level 2 or 3 within the first 3 minutes of game time.
