A problem with one specific support

I've been playing some matches as a support more recently and noticed a big gap between when it comes to all support and the newer addition, namely Pyke. I'm not currently interested in playing as a support main as I have been before, but when I played against this "support" I started to notice many things that set him high above all other supports. Specifically his arsenal of spells: Hook which deals too much dmg as a supp and has a very small CD

Invisibility + movement buff + regeneration, no support has that kind of spell that would combine that much stuff into one thing, usually supports have no escapes from engages apart from very few that don't have it this strong.

His dash + stun with a small CD, is also another tool that is in many ways much better than that of other supps. It's theoretically Taric's E with much better handling and a dash to it.

His R is a Darius R except if Darius R could somehow hit more than 1 target at a time and if it dealt that dmg without any kind of foreplay. Also it's the only ult that gives the support the option to be as fed as his other teammates while not giving anything up for it.

In my opinion these spells are pretty much the combination of all the good spells from all supps and some other champs as well, mixed into one champ, giving him no disadvantages at all. The perfect support champ that stands above all others. Having the ability to serve as a hooker, stunner, damage or a possible tank.

Let's compare it to others: Nami has CD and heal/buff. If engaged she has almost no escape except landing her CD and run with the small movement buff from passive. Remember she has nowhere near as much dmg though as Pyke and is more squishy.

Tresh has Hook, Lantern, Knockup and a slow. He provides option for escape of others while having no escape option himself as most of his spells are about engage and keeping enemies away from others but not himself. Overall he is not the best tank and has also nowhere near the dmg as Pyke.

I could go through all supps but I think you get the point now. In my opinion Pyke should have at least 2 of his spells changed in order for him to be "balanced" with other supps.

Perfect! You have one ban... and one support annoys you! What if... strange idea... you could use this opportunity to ban Pyke?

They nerfed Pyke 100 times before they nerfed him once I could easily play against him... He used to damage minions with his E He used to damage everyone in his short Q => Pyke no longer has waveclear and he is mainly and mainly support plus his damage isn't spread if he catches more people because nope you only deal damage to one target at the time which makes him a ballanced assasin - sure he can kill you if he lands everything - if he LANDS everything his Q has obvious sound and animation too evertyhing exept autoattacks from him you can dodge and I'm sure they nerfed more than just these things I said

Play Pyke/Ban him if you don't like him but in the end he isn't broken

And they still didn't nerf the main problem: his insanely broken ult. An AoE execute that ignores shields, resets and triples the gold value of every kill makes sure that making a single mistake versus Pyke post 6 results in you being behind with little to no chance of comeback because a double kill results in his botlane being 6 kills ahead in gold. And that's not even accounting for minions, tower plates and a possible drake they will claim. Seriously, nerf that broken mess of an ultimate into the ground and revert all the other crap. Pyke being the premier feast-or-famine ult bot doesn't feel good for either side.

The biggest issue with pyke is he does nothing in lane, but in teamfights he just presses R, gets a triple and he's right back in it, he's the karthus of supports...

I've played Pyke a lot. My view of him is that he is extremely annoying, that he can easily snowball a lane if you have a good adc and a bot lane that doesn't know how to play against him. Once mid and late game hits though, he rapidly becomes useless because of his passive. He is very much an early game champ. Is his ult probably a little too powerful - hmmm, maaaybee - but besides a hook (which isn't really anywhere as strong as blitz, naut or thresh), it tends to be his only real teamfight contribution, and if people are cognizant of it - pretty easy to avoid. Can a pyke potentially triple or quadra kill a team and finish the game that way - sure, but in my experience this is extremely unreliable and more of latent threat than any kind of real, meaningful contribution (tank, hard cc, dmg, consistent dmg, etc). Using E+W in a teamfight usually means insta-death, you can only throw a helpful Q out and look for R.

I actually like when the enemy goes pyke now, because I know how to play around him and I also know their late game will probably suffer a lot.
