It's been a while, so let's ask about that Champion Select again.

Back when TeamBuilder was removed and "replaced" with NCS, a little sentence in the accomodating Riot-blog post also announced that there would be a non-draft version of the new champion select for those who don't want to deal with that nonsense this alternate, challenging and deeply strategic aspect of LoL. I'll seek out that blog post if it's necessary or when the LoL-web site introduces a worthwhile archive, whatever comes first.

Since then, we all grew a bit older and our earth traveled a significant distance on her eternal journey around the sun but we are stil stuck with draft mode or blind pick.

So the question's rather simple: Will we see this draft-free NCS in anything resembling a forseeable future or did we decide to go the "Don't mention it until everyone has forgotten"-route?

I think excluding all but a single role is superior to excluding all but two roles. Players just pick what ever secondary role helps them get their main role more often anyway and the problems that come from excluding roles are going to be there regardless. The excluding of all but two roles just gives more favoritism to premades without solving the fundamental problems of role exclusion.
