Zhonyas?

Any plans for riot to change or nerf Zhonya's? With the use of stopwatch, this can make it extremely frustrating to play against either mid or bot side. Once Zhonya's is completed, it is essentially a get-out-of-jail free for making mistakes, especially come late game. Often times, the stasis from Zhonya's is enough time for cooldowns to reset by late game (e.g. Vlad).

My thought is that cooldowns should also be frozen when in stasis (would also need to apply to Bard's ult?). Thoughts? Looking for healthy discussion only.

You really can't wait 2.5 seconds to unload your Big Damage Big Plays Burst Per Second? Do you need shorter games to accommodate playing in an Internet gaming cafe?

Waiting 2.5 seconds doesn't mean anything against a half-decent player with reaction. I only used late game as an example because the cd on zhonya's late game is short enough in between team fights to potentially have a huge impact fight after fight. There's early-mid game, especially with stop watches, where games can outright snowball just because of a bad dive, good gank, etc. I'm not advocating to remove the item or take away its basic function of avoiding damage. I just think it's too favorable in covering up mistakes in this meta.

zhonya's is pretty annoying. I'd either want it to

1.)Not be so stat-effective

or

2.)Have a longer cooldown.

The main issue to me is that it has a lower cooldown than flash and gets that cooldown reduced more by a rune that shouldn't exist. They should start with removing the rune "perfect timing" that never should have been included in the game and also remove stopwatch from the game.

The introduction of stopwatch is literally the point in which league of legends began its descent into a dumpster fire and the addition of "perfect timing" is where the dumpster exploded and covered everyone with refuse.

Remove assassins and then we will talk about Zhonya

Assassins are all situational though - whether they're fed enough to burst down a squishy or not. If they're not fed, they can't just willy nilly go in 1v5, snipe a target, then get out. If they are fed, well your team maybe did something wrong, but to have 1 item straight up counter someone who likely outplayed others to get to that point, doesn't make much sense to me. That fed of an assassin likely faces 2-3 zhonya's (mid, supp, possibly adc) and the rest are bruisers/tanks.

Issue being. We can’t nerf zhonya’s until the damage problem is taken care of.

Zhonya’s is the only item in the game that serves a defensive purpose and actually works.

Maybe it would make people think twice about choosing a squishy off-role (e.g. supports) as opposed to a tankier champ to actually build a team comp? Instead of 5 squishies

Except we are still in the same issue of tanks do not work. Damage is so high tank stats are worthless. Tanks haven’t been able to do their job In well over a year.
