Leaving Champ Select during promos = No Free Win?

Lost first game of promos, was 1v1 a friend in cs go during champ select, and couldnt get back into client before timer ran out. Was at 77 lp, and i just got into promos with no free win. I can understand losing promos, but missing out on the free win as well?
