Ranked Changes That Would Strongly Benefit The Game

Keep in mind that these are my opinions, I would like everyone to share their ideas and thoughts on these ideas and changes that you would like to see made.

Honestly, I believe that the "Team Builder" style ranked will bring a new attitude towards the game mode. I started playing ranked pre-season 5 and found it to be very depressing for most of the games. Being in a low-elo, I found at least one toxic player per game i played. I decided to start playing more ranked around April of this year. For most of that time I was in a state where all I wanted to do was climb, however, for most of those games, I found myself being blamed for other peoples mistakes. Now, I'm not saying that I'm perfect or anything like that, because I'm not, I understand that I'm going to make mistakes in game and I can take those mistakes and learn form them. I would say that in 25% of those games that I played, someone had left the game because of a bad internet connection, because they didn't have time to play the game, or because they were mad that the game wasn't going their way. I understand that the way ranked is now is a draft pick system, meaning that the people who are first or second pick are more likely to get the lane they want/main, however, I find that people tend to get angry with last pick because they don't like the lane they are left with. I truly think that these changes will benefit ranked play in a very positive way, however, there are more problems that have to be dealt with that make ranked play so frustrating at times.

One of the biggest things that annoys people in ranked are the people that disconnect from the game. I have experienced this many times and it just puts you and your whole team in a very bad state of mind, even if you were winning already. To truly see how much this effects peoples state of mind, lets compare this to a real life situation. Lets say you are walking down the street with three of your best friends, it's late at night and you are walking to your friends house. Being the time that it is, you are always on the look out for suspicious activities that may be going on around you. All of a sudden you notice a gang of five people are walking towards you. There are only four of you and five of them. If this were the situation, how would you feel about your chances of winning that fight. For me, I feel like I have a very slim chance of winning because you are down one person. In any situation, real life or a game, a 4v5 fight is never a fair fight. I understand that there is loss prevention in some games, but from what i have heard and experienced, it is only when two people on your team disconnect. Frankly, that is NOT good enough. How would you like it if in 25% of your games were unfair. I am sure that people would agree with me on this one, nobody wants to lose LP because someone in that game disconnects because of rage or because they don't have a reliable internet connection. What should happen is when one person disconnects during the game, loss prevention should come into play.

The second problem that really makes me angry, and I know that other people are angry about this too (It shows up on a lot of comments on FaceBook) is the uneven lp gain/loss. For a while now, I have been gaining around 15-17 LP for every win and losing around 22-26 LP for ever loss. Now, I know that ranked play is supposed to be difficult, or else there would be no point in having lower tiers. However, This is frustrating not only me, but a lot of other players in the community, and I think that I can safely say for all of us that this needs to be fixed. There is such a slim chance that people in Bronze or even Silver that they can go a full 10 or 15 games with out losing. Even the pros only win around 50-60% of their games. IF a bronze player wins 50% of their games, then they are winning maybe every second game. That means they gain around 16LP, then lose 22 the next game. How do you expect people to get better at this game if they are mad about losing LP while trying to get better.Even if people tried become a better player, low-elo normal games are filled with trolls and people who auto lock their positions when they haven't called them. So with basically the only way of getting better at the game being filled with toxic players, trolls, and AFK's, how do you expect people to enjoy this game and be driven to get better at it. If you would just make it so that you gain 20 LP for every win and lose 20 LP for every loss, People wouldn't be as anxious to win a game, there wouldn't be as much rage when someone starts to tilt, and the community would be a lot better as a whole because people wouldn't flame as much over losing more LP then they gain.

League of Legends has been one of my favourite games to play for over a year now and I don't intend on quitting any time soon. I have had many good times with friends who also play with me and or against me. As good as the game may be already, it needs to be improved upon. I have seen countless people flame other people because they make one mistake, or they make a call that isn't necessarily the best choice at that time. Sure, you can ignore the players that flame using the mute button, but that doesn't fix the problem, it only hides it. You can't just hide your problems and just carry on with developing a flawed game.If you would just take these suggestions into consideration, I believe that it would make the game a lot more enjoyable for the majority of the community. I'm not one to back away from a challenge, especially one that requires that I need to use my brain to help my team win the game. League of Legends is a great game, it just needs to be improved.

Looking forward to your quick response, -InDoubted
