Hey fam I knows its rough that's kind of where I am at too. I see you bronze 5 right now and looks like it's your first ranked season so being bronze is pretty much expected. I am a veteran player although I will admit not a very good one. I have been stuck in low elo the whole time I have played League (season 1). It took me forever but what I finally learned a couple years ago the only thing you can control is yourself. Now I know its easy to say hard to do sometimes. Last season I finally was able to climb to gold on time for rewards which was first time I have done that since I started trying to back in season 4. It felt really good. I have a couple (smurf/alt) accounts and I started playing ranked on them as well. I switched up roles and champs and wanted to prove to myself that I at least finally reached "gold" level of play. Well it took many games on multiple accounts but I finally got all 3 to gold. What the climb taught me was if you only focus on yourself, a couple champions and a role, you eventually get better and can climb higher.
At the end of season 6 I was pretty burnt out from league. I did really bad in placements and dropped from gold 3 to bronze 1. That really set me off since I knew I could climb back to gold (did it 3 times last season) was just mad I had to do such a long climb since I wanted to take a break. So I took roughly 3 months off and now I am back and struggling to climb. I keep blaming my teammates but ultimately I have found a lot of my frustration is coming from myself. I am not playing at the level I want to consistently and I am taking it out on my teammates. Was I mad when my
jungle was 2-12 at one point last night and refused to gank lanes most the game? Yea. But even then I realized I was more upset because I was letting the enemy mid laner push me under turret and I didn't have the confidence or skills to take him down. Even though I blamed YI for the loss I know I could have done a lot more to help ensure our win that I didn't do. And that is really what ranked is all about. Its about playing your best and learning and trying to have the most impact you can each game. Eventually you get better and you can recognize and take advantage of your enemies mistakes more often. This eventually leads to climbing higher and playing better players which forces you to get better if you want to continue to climb.
It sounds like you want to climb so your a step a head a lot of bronze players. The reason a lot of players on boards or in game don't have sympathy or say "your bronze 5" is because even though a lot of us are not close to pro level climbing out of bronze is pretty easy for us. Its all about experience basically. I can take advantage of bronze players mistakes consistently enough where I can climb out fairly quickly. I am however struggling in silver 2 right now. Meanwhile there are players out there who can stomp in my games consistently, but I just don't have the skills or knowledge to do that. So I have to continue to keep learning and focusing on getting better to get to that point.
Don't feel obligated to have to climb from bronze to like plat in 1 season. Some people do it, but it's a lot rarer than you think. A lot of us are hard stuck gold-bronze most the time we play this game. Its really all about how much effort you put into learning and getting better. Plus there are so many champs and 5 roles in this game so it does take a really long time to learn. Plus with all the items and constant changes, it makes for a cycle of continuous learning.
I wish you the best on your future climb. Right now I would say just chill out, try to have some fun, and focus on getting better at 1-2 things. Then continue to branch off that and learn more.
