Should Clarity be reimplemented into Summoner's Rift? ( Poll )
After playing some ARAM games with it I really learned to appreciate the spell. Makes me and my teammates able to spam a lot of stuff with it in mind. In extended laning phases or siege situations it can be extremely valuable.
Now, I find myself in situations where I think "Damn, I really wish I had clarity right now" more and more when playing on Summoner's Rift. For example:
I play AP Malph support with MF, we both do our thing and poke the enemy down but in the end they win the resource war - they heal back more than we can spend in mana. Now imagine Clarity in that situation - we could gain back a good chunk of our mana pool and the enemy wouldn't be able to heal back our poke damage anymore because they ran dry on mana aswell.
Or imagine this - you won a hard fight and now you want to capitalize on it by killing Drake, Herald or even Baron - problem is, you don't even have the mana anymore to use abilities on it. On high DPS casters like Cassio this could make a tremendous difference.
Or, you started a siege and it's getting longer and longer and drawn out. At some point in time, your whole team runs oom because you were wave clearing and poking the enemy all this time and now your ability to do so, dwindles - with Clarity, suddenly you would gain a lot of that power back.
It's by no means anything the game necessarily needs. It would be something that would make the game more diverse and in my opinion more fun though.
There are still some other negative aspects attached to the idea - a new Summoner Spell brings new balancing issues with it until it finally hits the perfect spot. Maybe it could also end up like one of those must-have Summoner Spells instead of being an alternative, like TP in toplane and Flash pretty much everywhere.
Considering all of this I thought I might aswell make a poll on it here on the forums because appearantly you can do that. For me, it's less about "RITO PLS I WANT TO HAVE IT RITE NAO" and more to have a discussion about it - so go wild in the comments below.
