Last Whisper was already borderline overpowered. And now you make an item that massively more powerful? 40% armor pen plus % damage against those stacking health? For 2500 gold? And this after you nerfed armor awhile back. What is the point of playing a tank again?

Actually, it's a great change, it allows for more "champion variety" especially after the Juggernaut update. IMO tanks are unhealthy for the game due to the fact tanks can make several mistakes whether it be positional or mechanical. Due to them having more room for error to make up for their mistakes while they have their dmg dealers do the work for them. what I'm infering is that Playing tank is another way of saying you're lazy. On the other hand if you were to go offensive there is less room for error thus in the end requires more skill on an individual level. In addition to my point defensive items are generally less expensive than their offensive counterparts allowing for an losing opponent beat an opponent who outplayed them despite spending less gold. LW was balanced
