/remake doesn't work, Open letter to Riot

THANKS

I was put into a game where, upon connecting, one of my teammates decided they didn't want to play and AFK'd. My teammates and I thought "THANK GOD that riot implemented the /remake system for NA this patch! What a perfect time to use it." So like good summoners, with faith that riot could implement the system that they talked about for months, we waited in the fountain for the 3 minute mark to arrive. When the 3 minute mark came and went we typed "/remake" only to be greeted with the message "/remake isn't available." Needless to say we DIDN'T win that game 4v5 with an insurmountable disadvantage coming from not playing for the first 5 mins of the game.

Not only did we lose the game, but because in my misplaced faith in the always reliable folks at Riot Games I was demoted. So now I've learned my lesson that real life is brutal and trusting your fellow man will always leave you disappointed and heartbroken. However, instead of having to win just one game to regain my LP in exchange for this lesson I have to win, at a MINIMUM, 3 in a row to get back to where I was.

Thanks for being so reliable with bringing content to players, Thanks for the loss, Thanks for baiting us into believing you had our backs. and most of all, Thanks for creating such a unique experience

In other words..it probably won't be turned on until Thursday or Friday.

Kinda confused on why your whole team decided to stay in the base. i mean ... the AFKer could have come waltzing in at like the 2 min mark and then what would you do? Tell them to leave the game so that you all can get the afk check so that they had to eat the L because you all decided not to play in the time they were AFK?

I mean, I see the logic in it. Stay in base so that no one dies in the 4 V 5 set up. But you're betting on the AFKer staying AFK.

Don't expect Riot to ever give the players something that works properly. This company is absurdly incompetent. Expecting anything of the sort is a mistake.

The remake isnt broken.

The system that can tell if a player hasnt connected is broken.

If they infact did AFK but did connect, It is working as intended and they cheesed the system. If they did not connect, then it is infact broken.

Lmao this game fricken sucks. Spent so many hours on this game just because I made it my goal to get to Gold... Took 2 years god dam, always matched with low skilled players in promos. So many people going AFK. Losing 20+ LP because couldn't remake. Like, why can't they make it so that you can remake a game if someone is still under level 6 after awhile. Wtf rito? Fix your system. For a team-based game, you get punished a lot because of just one single player.

/remake isn't broken. it works. I just made use of it. in my last ranked match with an AFK adc.

very thankful I didn't have to get pummeled in a 4v5 game

I thought /remake was for when people did not connect to the game? I dunno about people who decide to AFK after the game loads. (Wouldn't you have to wait 5 minutes to be flagged as AFK?)

You're supposed to get a prompt to type /remake.

Has it worked for anyone so far?

This post is completely accurate, and people acting like he's "speculating" need to sit down. This literally happened to me just now on July 8th, well after it rolled out. Pantheon disconnected immediately upon game start, so we waited for 3 minute mark, only to be greeted with "Remake is only for disconnected players" ??????????? Then whyyyyyy does it even exist in the first place?! If it tells you it's not going to do the basic function of what it exists for? It's trash and only exists for Riot to claim they're using the BILLIONS they earn for something, anything, other than just maintaining one basic game map. They can rent out an Arena for millions for themselves, but can't manage to have a simple system in place where if someone starts ur game disconnected, you get to remake! It's so simple, yet soooo insanely difficult to do apparently with a billion-dollar budget.
